Sandwich 28 | The Pugnacious Vegetarian's Weblog
https://thepugnaciousvegetarian.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/sandwich-28
The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. April 28, 2010 at 10:17 am. I haven’t had a real deal breakfast sandwich in over ten years. I loathe eggs, so even going somewhere and getting a breakfast sandwich sans meat isn’t really an option. All I am left with is an English muffin topped with cheese. No fun. I scrambled up some Soy Boy extra firm tofu. With a little red onion, baby spinach, garlic powder, turmeric, cayenne pepper, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, nutritional yeast, sea salt, and ground pepper.

The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. Archive for March, 2009. It’s been a while, eh? Here, have a scoop of vegan potato salad and let’s catch up. And mostly eaten in front of my computer screen. I never did make those cranberry nachos, but the cranberry relish is still in my freezer, desperately wanting to be eaten. But, onwards and upwards, I say! I promise this new format will make me update more. It is bad when you are badgered about updating your blog in person (Hi Kari, I love you! Clean and boil pot...

The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. Archive for November, 2008. I thought I should take the time to let you all know that I probably won’t be updating for a week or two. My mother in law is quite ill and I haven’t felt like cooking at all. I have been making some body scrubs and whatnot, so I might put some of those up, but as far as food goes, I just don’t have it in me. I will be back as soon as I can I promise. Until next time, have a great day and keep cooking! November 20, 2008 at 9:41 am. Next, mix...

The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. Archive for July, 2008. I love tempeh Reuben sandwiches. This is my take on a traditional Reuben, complete with homemade Russian dressing and spicy coleslaw replacing sauerkraut. I find that marinated tempeh gives the sandwich more flavor. I marinated triangles of tempeh in my special marinade for a few hours. I also use this marinade for portobello mushrooms. 3 tablespoons Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acid. 2 tablespoons Frank’s Hot Sauce. 2 teaspoons Pickapeppa sauce. I serv...

The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. Archive for April, 2010. Well kids, this is it, the 30th sandwich. I have completed my mission and I am satisfied. There were a lot of great suggestions from my readers that I didn’t get a chance to make, but I hope to make them all sooner than later. I would like to thank my dear friend Kari. I used grated Cabot’s Seriously Sharp Cheddar. Chopped scallions (spring onions), Vegenaise. This is so good. Creamy, salty, tangy, and delicious! Facebook fan page for the blog.

The Pugnacious Vegetarian’s Weblog. Archive for September, 2008. Cajun blackened fake chicken. In previous posts, I have mentioned my undying love for both Quorn. And Badia’s Louisiana Cajun seasoning blend. Now I am about to bring them together for the first time! It might be hard for you to find the Badia spices in your supermarket, so I would imagine any kind of blackening seasoning would work. However, if you can find this blend, use it! Now, on to the frying! Garlic horseradish creamy spread. 2 tabl...
