I have a rocky relationship with Henry James, so I am amazed to say that I really, truly liked the novel. It had all the hallmarks of Jamesian prose: overloaded with pronouns, unclear references, overly complicated sentence structure that feels like trying to read a Crazy Straw(remember those? No signs of having caught the flu from TT!

In an effort to catch up and chat(so to speak) about every day stuff, we decided to create a blog for a year. We are croney1 and croney2. Two separate women, two separate lives finding common ground, unexpected nooks and octagonal tower rooms(. We alternate days and write about whatever we feel like. One of us loves italicization.
