I’d like them to recommend the level to which lovers of good music should lower their standards in order to find this tune remotely acceptable. For, without this help, I’m afraid I will continue comparing the entire piece to jet engine noise. The other song, Konfye Ak Mefyans.

Let me love u, krys gabriel. Let Me Love U. Is this a leftover from J-Beatz’ silly Our Own World album? I can’t say I understand the recent fascination with the guy’s lo-fi sound. I’ve yet to hear anything good come out of his bedroom studio. Neither the music here nor Krys’ voice is good enough to overcome. J-Beatz’ folly…I mean…production. Bezwen mennaj, wanito. Wanito is a fantastic storyteller and has quite a way with words. I can only dream of hearing such lyrical style in today’s Konpa. Other than that, I find no appeal in his work; I neither care for his voice nor musical style. I don’t have a problem if people like this tune; it’s just not my cup of tea. Real love, 4real. 4Real looks like a new project from former Nomads guitarist, Mark Gonçalves. And like his old band, this single doesn’t disappoint. But, I do have a few complaints: no need for two lead vocalists; could do without the female “This is 4Real” could use better mixing. Again, I wish there were a real guitar solo, instead of two of the keyboard variety. The less you know about me, the better I feel, and the safer you are. I’d like to sit these gentlemen down and demand that they explain the reasons why they did the things they did on this song. Do we really need more Auto-Tune laced vocals, more rapping, more other silly productions tricks? You can never stand out doing what everyone else is doing. With a name like Identity, one would think they’d try to find their own in the sea of sameness that is The Industry. For their sake, I hope the other tracks on their It’s Been a While CD.
