Thoughts From the Minivan
http://fivesouths.blogspot.com/2014/12/this-morning-i-read-on-friends-facebook.html
Thoughts From the Minivan. Just one mama's musings about her life, her family, and her walk with God. This morning I read on a friend's Facebook page the link to a piece about the poor. One of the responses to her post was "I'm tired of helping those people. It actually hurt my heart. First, let me start with the "I tried to give them a Big Mac and they said they didn't want it" people. One gentleman shared with me that he couldn't eat fast food because it gave him wicked diarrhea, and when you're on...

Thoughts From the Minivan: Birth Control. Gulp.
http://fivesouths.blogspot.com/2012/03/growing-up-in-southern-baptist.html
Thoughts From the Minivan. Just one mama's musings about her life, her family, and her walk with God. Birth Control. Gulp. Growing up in the Southern Baptist tradition, there are several things that baffled me throughout the years. My parents didn't like it when I questioned them.they usually either brushed me off completely or they just finished the conversation with "because we're right." This parenting technique was an easy out for them, but for me it created even more. To me, they. Combination oral c...

Thoughts From the Minivan: Change the world...
http://fivesouths.blogspot.com/2013/03/my-family-has-been-watching-history.html
Thoughts From the Minivan. Just one mama's musings about her life, her family, and her walk with God. My family has been watching The History Channel's miniseries "The Bible" for the past few weeks and the kids have been waiting (im)patiently for Jesus to come on the scene. As an aside, they have heard Bible stories all their lives, so they were rapt with attention to detail.and sorry, Mark Burnett, but according to 9 year old Griffin, you got quite a few details wrong. What are we going to do? If it mea...

Thoughts From the Minivan: "Mother of the Year" candidate...EPIC FAIL

Thoughts From the Minivan. Just one mama's musings about her life, her family, and her walk with God. Mother of the Year" candidate.EPIC FAIL. As I may have mentioned before, I have a son, Griffin, who is 6. He is in Kindergarten. He does not. Do mornings. At all. Typical early morning Griff-isms are:. You never loved me! If you loved me, you wouldn't make me get up! Get out of here! Usually accompanied by the stink eye). I'm not going to school! I'm never going to school again! He blamed that on Big Dad...

http://ewepatty.blogspot.com/2011/05/i-really-did-not-need-this-break.html
One of God's sheep who has moved to different pastures. Sometimes they seem greener and other times not so green. But my Shepherd is always there for me. Friday, May 13, 2011. One of God's sheep who has moved to different pastures. Sometimes they seem greener and other times not so green. But my Shepherd is always there for me. Monday, March 21, 2011. The following is a post from three years ago. March 17, 2008. She cried out to God this isn’t fair, I just planted new tulips in the flowerbed and I won’t be able to see them come up. We will never be able to sell the tent is this market. What about Abraham, God do you know what the job market is like? Keep them in your prayers.

Getting the Big Picture: September 2009
http://gettingthebigpicture.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Getting the Big Picture. View my complete profile. Progress on the outside. Thursday, September 17, 2009. What good are our eyes, if we don't look? Sunday, September 13, 2009. I just read a marvelous little book by David Gregory, entitled Dinner with a Perfect Stranger. It’s the imaginary account of a businessman who receives and invitation to a nice restaurant to share a meal with Jesus of Nazareth. While the style of the story is somewhat akin to Twilight Zone.
