Fitness & Health. A Girl and Her Mutt. Learning to live a healthy lifestyle one bit, bite and bark at a time! Accomplished. (Day 135)…. May 16, 2010. Day Two came bright and early. Dad woke me up early so I could go to Medical to get rewrapped before it got too busy. Smart move because it got us to breakfast super early too. By the time we were finished packing our bags and lowering our tents other walkers were just getting to breakfast. The lines were CRAZY. I, on the other hand, not so fresh. It felt s...

Musings and mumblings, recipes and reviews from a Boston gal on the veggie path. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Homemade Pasta with Oven-Roasted Broccoli. Musings and mumblings, recipes and reviews from a Boston gal on the veggie path. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Fall - In a Tortilla! I haven't been there since they started requiring a nylon messenger hat for entry, but I used to love that apple and brie sammich of theirs. But, I can say with absolutely no bias: this is better. I can say that because it won the approval of Executive Chef Kevin Olmstead of Pittsburgh's freshest, illest spot – J'eet Cafe. 6 oz brie, cut into thin slices. Olive oil for saute.

http://lavidaveggie.blogspot.com/2010/07/have-we-meat.html
Musings and mumblings, recipes and reviews from a Boston gal on the veggie path. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Thought I appreciated the concern, meat-mouths and veg-heads don't seem to realize how much chicken stock, pork fat, and fish gelatin work their way into things as innocuous as lentil soup, home fries, and multi-vitamins. Pictured above, and captured by the unsinkable Lauren Bennett. Because I'm happy to talk about my revival of occasional carnivorousness. And to close, I thought I'd reaffirm my ...

Let me clarify: by "they" I mean my landlord, and by "paved" I mean mowed, but I'm still heavy-hearted this morning. See, I took it upon myself to tackle the backyard of my apartment building.
