Dawnchorus was devised by Natasha Vicars and first developed by Seven Art Writers. In 2011 with support from the Live Art Development Agency and Text Festival, Bury. Performances have since been commissioned by Vox Populi in Philadelphia (2012), by the National Trust’s London Project, by Fermynwoods Contemporary Art and by Art:Language:Location (all 2013). Dawnchorus – a chorus of writing on Twitter. Flowers for the Sea. Side by Side Show. The live action took place from 12.30 am to 2.25 am on 27 January 2012; each tweet was tagged #nightwatch2012, allowing an audience to follow and to contribute. It was presented live at the Rhythms of Time Sharing event in Philadelphia, the United States, via the Twitter website.
