Having fun with fabric! Hand Piecing Purple Hexagons. Stitching the Star Blocks Together! Monday Star Count – August 10, 2015. August 10, 2015. I’ve finished 56 of these star hexagon blocks, but may add a few more depending on my final layout. I decided to go with a random layout, not in color order. For now, I’m going to continue sewing a few together at a time and will decide on a final layout later. I’m linking up with Life Under Quilts. For the Monday Star Count. Have a great week! Having fun with fabric! Still Sewing Stars and Hexies. Stitching, Reading and Relaxing →. July 20, 2015. I am enjoying this summer weather so much! I am fortunate to live not far from the beach and the time I spend there is what gets me through all commuting to NYC and the brutal winters we sometimes get here. My husband and I took a few vacation days and we’ve had great weather here the past few days, so I’ve been at the beach Friday, Sunday, today and am going again tomorrow! I started reading the.

Having fun with fabric! Blue Stars for January’s Rainbow Scrap Challenge. January 9, 2016. I’ve started to notice a pattern in my work in that a lot of my projects are stars in one form or another. I make many other types of designs, but stars are always a favorite of mine, so many … Continue reading →. January 3, 2016. I can’t believe it’s January already! Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. Having fun with fabric! Stitching, Reading and Relaxing. Monday Star Count – August 10, 2015 →. Hand Piecing Purple Hexagons. August 9, 2015. I finally finished another rosette of hexagons for my Road 66 quilt from Di Ford’s book,. I also decided to do some machine piecing. I haven’t been doing much machine sewing lately, and I miss it. We went to the beach for a few hours this morning, and when we got home, I made a few diamond in a square blocks. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. I know what you ...

Having fun with fabric! Springtime Flowers, Swans and More Stars. A Little Stitching on Father’s Day →. A Finished EPP Pillow and Some Progress on my Star Blocks. June 15, 2015. Another week has flown by. Still, I did make time to sew and even finished something! With that in mind, I decided to just accept the way the quilting looks and finish it. I found a 20″ pillow form in my basement from a coupon sale at Joann’s and got to work. Blue diamond EPP pillow. Pink and red star. Star count – 40! And once I...

Crazy stars | Live. Grow. Nourish. Create.
https://livegrownourishcreate.wordpress.com/2015/08/03/crazy-stars
Live Grow. Nourish. Create. I’ve only sewn one more star, but I have turned all four stars into hexagons with the addition of background diamonds:. I love each of these star-in-a-hexagon blocks. Together, though, I’m not so sure. Are they going to be just toooo crazy? I feel they might need spacing with something easier on the eye. I think the options are:. 1 Intersperse with neutral coloured shapes eg hexagons or triangles. 2 Make the stars as I am doing but do half with neutral (white or pale pink?

Monday Morning Star Count | Live. Grow. Nourish. Create.
https://livegrownourishcreate.wordpress.com/2015/08/10/monday-morning-star-count
Live Grow. Nourish. Create. Monday Morning Star Count. I have made three more hexagon stars this week:. Which brings the total number to seven:. Now that I have more of a mixture of values and colours, I’m not so sure if I will need any neutral hexagons or triangles to break it up after all. I am liking the way they play together now🙂. Fickle, aren’t I? Linking up to Monday Morning Star Count. Over at Life Under Quilts. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Click to email (Opens in new window).

Atostogos bus be lovatiesės. This week I made 26 new hexagons and I added 46 to the bed covering. If I were able to keep these numbers, maybe I would have the top done before the spring? 2015 m. rugpjūčio 4 d. 00:12. Adventures in fabric and found sounds. Before there was quilting. July 18, 2015. July 18, 2015. In the middle of all of this I did a stamp piece. I thought of this when I had gone past an art gallery widow a few days ago and someone had made something not as great, more like a Pantone chart and was changing 300 for it. Occasionally there would be a hidden gem printed on these. It made me think of the life of the letter, what was attached to the stamp? What secrets did it hold? Click to share on Tumblr (O...
Moose Bay Muses: Some Slow Goings, Going On...
http://moosebaymuses.blogspot.com/2015/08/some-slow-goings-going-on.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Some Slow Goings, Going On. I'm not sure where this week went- it all seemed to go by so fast! I didn't do much sewing because of an enormous amount of time spent in my car (lots of shopping opportunities though). I'm keeping up with the Temecula Summer Sampler. These are the week 9 blocks. And I used my teeny, tiny reject Lemoyne Stars to make a teeny, tiny table runner. Hand quilted, no less! I haven't decided where it will reside- maybe on the sideboard in the dining room.
Made by Frederica: Good Friday Finish
http://sewingnaaien.blogspot.com/2015/04/good-friday-finish.html
Sunday, 5 April 2015. Yes, I know it's Easter Sunday today and Good Friday is long since gone. I did however finish this on Friday. I really like how this Sweet Drunkard's Path has turned out. It's only small 110cm square but super cute. Have the big polka dot fabric in their sale and also some others that might be suitable. I think a trip to Henley is in order. It's Easter Holidays, so the daughters and dog can come and we will have a walk by the river after the fabric shopping. 9 April 2015 at 04:26.
Quilting at the Farm: Two More CCCQ Complete . . . well maybe

Quilting at the Farm. Sunday, June 21, 2015. Two More CCCQ Complete . . . well maybe. I was visiting my pregnant daughter in New Brunswick last week and completed this block. Besides snuggling and enjoying my grandson who turned one 2 weeks ago, I also did some work on one of the others. One of those red paper cut designs. And did I mention that I am going to a couple of lecture demos with Judi Madsen this week? And why would I sign up for anything this busy week when I am finally home? 12, 27 and 31 are...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Summer Sewing - Part I. It has been a while, I know. I have been sewing, but taking photographs has been proving to be a very difficult task. Teresa hasn't been on a mood, and I think I should not insist on this. Earlier this week, after folowing a friendly advice, I decided to bribe her and it worked! It was a really small bribe, so I am sure no harm is done. I started with the Kids Gathered Summer Top. And the City Gym Shorts. Here is how they look on Teresa. I think this outf...
