Sewing Rags to Stitches

Sewing Rags to Stitches. Sewing Rags to Stitches. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Guest Post. Best Diaper Bag Ever! Grandma also made "Katie" a new diaper bag! She picked the fabric all by herself and I (I mean "Katie") LOVED it! It has pockets inside for diapers/wipes, cell phone, and two other small pockets. There is an outside pocket for a bottle or Mom's waterbottle. Love it. If that wasn't enough, there is a matching CHANGING PAD! It will double as a bag/purse even after we exit the "baby" stage!

Sewing Rags to Stitches: Thread Bowls

http://www.sewingragstostitches.blogspot.com/2011/10/thread-bowls.html

Sewing Rags to Stitches. Sewing Rags to Stitches. Thursday, October 13, 2011. The Mizzou ones would be great for snacks while watching the game. I'm trying some Christmas ones thinking they would make nice decorations with colored ball ornaments and possibly a candle but not to light! I also made a smaller bowl and a leaf bowl that would easily be a candy dish but I made mine to hold my business cards my daughter had made up for me at the craft show in Moberly, Missouri Nov 11-12. Sewing Rags to Stitches. Sewing Rags to Stitches. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Guest Post. High Chair/Shopping Cart Cover. Grandma made Katie some pretty special gifts for Christmas! One of my FAVORITES is the high chair/shopping cart cover. The one we used for the boys was blue and broken (after years of use, one of the buckles just broke! It was well-loved and we wanted one for our new little one! Enter Grandma and her amazing sewing skills! First time using our cover! Sewing Rags to Stitches.

Sewing Rags to Stitches: Pillowcase Dress (minus the pillowcase!)

http://www.sewingragstostitches.blogspot.com/2011/10/pillowcase-dress-minus-pillowcase.html

Sewing Rags to Stitches. Sewing Rags to Stitches. Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Pillowcase Dress (minus the pillowcase! So my daughter enjoys the idea of making dresses for her new baby. She found a simple pillowcase dress pattern that uses 1 yard of fabric instead of a pillow case ( http:/ www.aroomsomewhere.net/2007/07/pillowcase-dress-tutorial.html. We measured the length of this dress to be a bit long on baby girl, as we are hoping it will fit for a LONG time! Sewing Rags to Stitches.

The Savage Family: February 2012

http://savagefamilyfive.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Friday, February 17, 2012. Side note: this is a HUGE deal. My boys were very late in saying Mama. I think Matthew had a vocabulary of 10 words before uttering the most beautiful sound in the world* The boys essentially ignored me. Crazy mom - thinking a SEVEN month old is capable of that. Later at home. I ran out with N to get dinner for the family (Math's sickness was wearing me down! I'm writing it down in her book! The kids at Nicholas' V-day Party. Heart Crayons. before. Sunday, October 2, 2011. Kiddo update. Fall 2011. Nicholas at 6.75 years old:. First grade. I mean he LOVES. It He adores his teacher and repeats the words she says (he created a "social contract" with Math, he talked about adding new vocabulary words to his speech, etc). So far, he is still struggling with talking during transition times. His teacher has given him "lots of compliments" (his words) on his reading skills - his confidence is soaring! Where we spend lots of our time: baseball fields! The bo...

The Savage Family: Matthew, the love bug.

http://savagefamilyfive.blogspot.com/2013/02/matthew-love-bug.html

Thursday, February 14, 2013. Matthew, the love bug. Real smile, but squinty eyes. Classic Math. What? It "looks" like he's strangling her, but he's really tickling her! Loves to show muscles. Math is finishing up Pre-K, and looking forward to KINDERGARTEN next year. I am secretly thrilled for him, but know I will miss him terribly when the time comes. His future teacher is one lucky person! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sewing Rags to Stitches. Sharing Time with the Sheltons. Notes from the Trenches.

The Savage Family: Oldest and wisest...

http://savagefamilyfive.blogspot.com/2013/02/oldest-and-wisest.html

Thursday, February 14, 2013. Ah, Nicholas. 8 years old but wishes he was 18! The sweet child longs for independence, away from the harsh rule of his parents. Sigh. Most days, he is a charming, funny boy. Those are the best times. He has an amazing sense of humor and ridiculous memory for facts no one ever needs to remember (sound like someone else? His father, for example? They can't remember which drawer their socks go in, but Mark Grace's batting average in 1996? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Savage Family: January 2012

http://savagefamilyfive.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 21, 2012. The Days are Long, but the Years are Short. I look at our little guy and can't believe he is SEVEN. SEVEN. Say that out loud. SEVEN. It sounds old. Definitely school age. Definitely big. And getting bigger. Various things I've read tell me that seven is a MAGICAL year. They are older, more mature, focused, settled, calm, etc. Part of me is so excited about that - it sounds wonderful! Friday, January 20, 2012. I haven't posted in a long time! Sew Much Fun

Monday, April 13, 2015. The idea for this bag came from this site. I thought it was perfect for my media specialist daughter. Posted by JoAnne Rupp. Wednesday, February 11, 2015. These pillows will soon be on their way to an auction which will benefit a children's home. They are made of old feed sacks (which I am in love with). The first one is appliqued and pieced with a vintage-looking blue solid background. On the back there is a red accent band with three covered buttons to hold it closed. With heart...

Sewing & Reaping

The adventures of an American seamstress in Europe. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Sowe all know that we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, right? Other things, however, should most definitely be judged at face value. Among these are ironing boards. Quite a serious matter Do you really want to smooth out the wrinkles on your great-grandma's swiss batiste christening gown on a less-than-pristine surface? I didn't think so. Fortunately, thanks to a fabulous tutorial I found over on the Purl Bee.
