Sewing (and more) Without Zippers

Sewing (and more) Without Zippers. Where DIY meets SAHM meets locavore foodie. Saturday, July 25, 2015. I love watching tomatoes ripen through the summer. I love eating them fresh off the vine, and I absolutely adore that end of summer ritual - when we pull the plants out of the ground, we strip all the remaining green tomatoes off. Last fall I made a fermented green tomato salsa. It was by far my favorite ferment. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Flyaway Katy and Messy Outdoor Art. Today, after the fun of playi...

I love eating them fresh off the vine, and I absolutely adore that end of summer ritual - when we pull the plants out of the ground, we strip all the remaining green tomatoes off. Last fall I made a fermented green tomato salsa. It was by far my favorite ferment. I'm also going to plant a little fall crop in the space where the tomatoes are right now. I have some kale seeds and some carrot seeds. I'll try one of those.

How to Make a Pizza from Scratch With this Easy Homemade Pizza Recipe. By Eliza Cross, on April 29th, 2012. A homemade, half-sausage half-cheese pizza. The dough is softer and slightly less chewy, but it’s still a hundred times better than delivery pizza crust. Instead of using those little packets. The recipes below will work just fine with either type of yeast. In a m...

All the whimsical things

All the whimsical things. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Another sewaway make (kwik sew 3801). Pattern: kwik sew 3801. Fabric: wool blend knit from Gorman. Price: $4pm (the same fabric in blue is $8pm). Shaped the arm holes and side seams. Took off 3cm off the side seam. Narrowed the sleeves by 3.5cm - I hate loose sleeves. Didn't hem the sleeves or bottom hem. Add the sleeves from view A. Would I make this again? It's a great pattern that would look great in lots of sweater fabrics. Notes for next time:.
