Sew Little Thyme

Wednesday, February 27, 2008. I got my patterns from Pattern Rescue. This circa one is circa 1975 and looks like a newar copy of this spring top from The Gap! Change the sleeves a little and add some buttons down the from seam and some pin tucks, Ta Da! This one is one is also circa 1975, but it looks a lot like this current top from the Gap spring line. The gap top is knit but I think that with just a little tweeking it could be pretty darn close. Links to this post. Friday, February 22, 2008. There was...

Sew Little Thyme: New patterns for 2008

http://sewlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2008/01/new-patterns-for-2008.html

Friday, January 25, 2008. New patterns for 2008. Well so far the new year is starting off with some eh pattern offerings. Nothing earth shaking, gotta have it from what I have seen so far. Hot Patterns has two new ones that are probably 2 of the best that I have seen so far. First up is the Wong-Singh-Jones Kimono Wrap Dress. An exotic twist on the classic wrap dress, this deliciously flattering style is designed for drapey, fluid knits like silk(y) jersey, rayon or lightweight cotton knits. Team it with...

Sew Little Thyme: A new addition!

http://sewlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2008/02/new-addition.html

Friday, February 22, 2008. Of the four legged kind! One of the mares that we take care of had her baby last Sat. between 1:30 am and 10:00 am. She is so cute and sweet! I have never been that up close and personal with the business end of a horse before! But I now know how to take a horses temperature! I need to take some more picture as she is almost a week old already! Also she might be a baby but don't let that fool you. She is strong! I just love when miracles like this happen.Life! I could just eat ...

Sew Little Thyme: June 2007

http://sewlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Welcome to The Land of Enchantment! We have made it to New Mexico! It is very lovely, very different, but very beautiful in it's own way. John unfortunately will have to make one more to trip to MI for another small load of "stuff" that we just could not fit in. Other than that here is how we arrived in NM. Now if you look closely at my car that we towed you will see that we had a special passenger. Here is a little peek at the inside:. I am on a borrowed computer so my Internet...

Sew Little Thyme: July 2007

http://sewlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 03, 2007. Burda WOF June 2007. I am finally sort of getting caught up on my back log of magazines since moving. Which is great but now I am totally in LOVE with this top:. And that necklace for that matter. It's kind of big but it just calls to me.but I digress. So in true Burda WOF style, the top is not one of the patterns in this issue. So I have been searching for a good knock off pattern. I think that the Hot Patterns Sunshine Tops is the best I have been able to find. Links to this post.

Sew Fashioned!!!: Early projects

http://sewfashioned.blogspot.com/2007/12/early-projects.html

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous Coco Chanel. December 3, 2007. I realized this weekend that I need more space but since that's not an option, I need to get rid of some items. Deciding to purchase a one-bedroom condo was probably not such a good idea. especially since the idea of letting go of clothes, shoes, and purses (even if I haven't worn/used them in years) gives me pause. That way I'll be able to save money (dog clothing can be pretty pricey) and practice sewing (yay)! I never did ...

Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Imagine forgetting where you parked your car. Imagine not recognizing your own children. Imagine losing your most precious memories. The effects of Alzheimer’s are devastating to the person who has the disease—and to everyone who loves that person and is trying to help them hold the pieces of their lives together. Alzheimer’s disease affects approximately 5 million people in the U.S. The research being conducted to better understand and manage it is critical. Will be donated ...

It has been just so nice outside and well it was a nice get away, granted it was way to long. I have shows I am supposed to be getting ready for, not doing so well with that more of on a spending spree. I need some supplies don't I? Well let's just say I now have a ton, but you can never have to much inspiration right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Hungry Zombie Couture: May 2007

http://hungryzombiecouture.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

A Milly to One Shot. Auntie J wrote to me asking for a pattern. Match to "recreate" this wickedly cute dress:. This adorable dress, which gives a nod to the mod 60s (one of my favourite fashion eras) is by Milly of New York. The simple shift dress has armhole and neckline bands that end in a racerback. Embellished with a bow. The best patterns I can come up with are the following:. Neck bands - although they are the wrong shape, they could be redrafted into a circular shape. No racer back shape. You'd al...

Quilts for the Kim's: hello

http://quiltsforthekims.blogspot.com/2007/11/hello.html

Wednesday, November 28, 2007. I know it's been a long time but I've noticed there's been a few hits here and there on this blog so I thought I'd write up a little update. I have not heard from Patricia since July; she's had a broken computer so I don't know if she's heard anything from the Kim's. I have not heard anything either. All I know is that the quilts were sent out sometime in June (early July? By Patricia.I wish I knew more.sorry I don't. Posted by Shanna at 3:25 AM. December 10, 2007 at 8:02 AM.
