Sewn of a Stitch: September 2016

http://sewnofastitch.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 26, 2016. I am sure it is not healthy for my freezer, but my cheap self used it as an ironing board for months. I would fold up a sheet and place it over it. It was actually pretty convenient considering my kitchen is the overflow area to my pantry of a sewing room. Seriously though, that needed to change. This thing was pretty old. The covering was well well loved. That is the nicest way to put it. I took off the old cover and copied how it was made. After cutting it out I stitched bot...

Sewn of a Stitch: November 2016

http://sewnofastitch.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Sew What to Wear? I would like to make a special thanks to Made for Mermaids and Pattern's for Pirates for letting me participate in this blog tour! Well I have whipped up 2 shirts for me to choose from to use with our family portraits at the tree farm. I have no idea which to choose but they are both super fast sews, and super cute. Awkward pose. But I like it. The first one pictured is the Mama Ava from Made for Mermaids. (You can get your copy here. Using my affiliate link)...

Sewn of a Stitch: August 2016

http://sewnofastitch.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 26, 2016. McPherson Square Tri-Fold Pocketbook. I want to start by saying that this is the second tester I have done for Hold It Right There. And the owner Suzanne is an amazing person to test for. She is sweet, cares about all of her feedback, and just a great person in general. Moving on, the McPherson Square Tri-fold Pocketbook is an amazing little bag! Seriously, it is small but man does it pack a punch. There are plenty of card slots to hold your id, credit card, etc. The first page o...

Sewn of a Stitch: About Me

http://sewnofastitch.blogspot.com/p/home.html

I'm Tonya. I am a mother, a wife, a photographer and a seamstress.using that last term loosely! Since this is a sewing blog I will elaborate on that part. My cousin convinced me that I NEEDED a sewing machine during a trip to Wal-Mart. I caved to peer pressure and bought it. The cheapest one of course! That was about 4, maybe 5 years ago. I made a pillow. I was so proud of that little tiny pillow that I made a blanket! Then I started a quilt! To date I still have not made a quilt! Local to South Carolina?

Ma Moose: November 2016

http://mamoosehandmade.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 20, 2016. Whistler by Love Notions. Brrrr I don't know about where you live, but here in Kansas, it just got cold overnight. I won't lie and pretend I'm happy about it, but the fact that I just finished sewing two cozy pullovers makes me hate this change in weather a little less. Just a little. Don't get me wrong, I'm still counting down the days until the 90 degree temperatures come back. But if I must be out in the cold, at least I can do it wearing this:. The length options are hemmed...

sewnolivette | living a life of intention

Living a life of intention. Your Word In My Heart. Happy Tu B’Av! July 31, 2015. July 30, 2015. If you are afraid, it might be that you are involved in a religion. If you are involved in a religion, you may be afraid of being rejected by those within that religious community. But if you are rejected by the religious community you belong to, aren’t you seeing the words of Yeshua come to pass? He said we who believe in Him–the Word made flesh–would be rejected by men for His name’s sake. Love for our broth...
