It's cheaper than therapy! Author Archives: juliemthomas@earthlink.net. I Love Old Things. My sister’s mother-in-law passed away a few years ago and one of her daughters inherited her handkerchiefs. She thought I might enjoy them. I thought for a while about how I might use them. I suspect I found this on pinterest. I washed and ironed them and then clipped them to the curtain rod. It's cheaper than therapy! A Great Way to Spend a Day! So I had 2 weeks off between jobs. Not my choice to get a new job, but landed well and got a 2 week vacation. During my time off my nephew’s girlfriend, Molly asked if we could sew together–of course I said yes. She picked out the fabric, cut it out and did all the sewing. It's cheaper than therapy! Been gone for a while…. This summer we put in a new patio. I have spent a lot of time painting furniture and sewing cushions. I’ve also worked in the garden, so not too much sewing going on. Here are some shots of out patio and the cushions I made–super easy! And here are some scenes from our October 25th outdoor party. It's cheaper than therapy! Baby quilt for co-worker. Another quilt for a co-worker. This was fun to make. For baby Harper Grace. For Michelle’s baby boy. First quilt I made–for my niece Maggie. 4th of July Quilt. When Andrew was in college, he asked for a big comfy quilt–one big enough to cover his feet while it is pulled all the way up to his chin. I think he is pleased with this one. Fat Quarters on Sale at Jackman’s Fabrics. Black and white–checking values. Need a bigger design wall. I Love Old Things.
