Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a severe neuro-developmental disorder characterized by impairments in social interaction and communication, as well as restricted and repetitive behaviors. Although ASD is often considered a childhood disorder, it persists throughout the lifespan. Approximately 0.7 % of the world population suffers from schizophrenia ( van Os and Kapur 20. And a combination of genetic and environmental factors are responsible for developing this disease. The heritability is estimated at 80% ( Gottesman and Gould 2003. And first-degree relatives of schizophrenia patients have the highest risk of being affected ( Gottesman 1991. Ruano et al. 2008.
