Capstone: Academics: Chinese Flagship Program: Indiana University Bloomington

Chinese Flagship students spend one year—typically their 4th or 5th year—in China as a Capstone to their Chinese studies. For the first semester, students are directly enrolled in either Nanjing University. Or Beijing Union University. Learning alongside Chinese students in direct enrollment classes related to their majors and academic interests. During the second Capstone semester, students complete an internship.

Karaoke with Native Speakers, Chinese Meme Workshops, and Taiwanese Night Market are examples of special cultural workshops we have offered in the past. We encourage students to celebrate Chinese festivals such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese New Year. Chinese Flagship holds celebrations for these events with traditional food and cultural activities.
