My Queensland Food Garden. Gardening in the Subtropics. October 2, 2011 in Monthly Gardening Tasks. It’s been hot and windy these last few days and I’m waiting for a change in the weather and hopefully some rain to plant out the summer vegetables. In the meantime my purple cauliflowers and sugarloaf cabbages are ready to pick. Broccoli and Tuscan kale are flowering (I’m planning to save seeds) and need a replanting. I’m into the spring planting as well as harvesting the vegetables that have matured over the winter months, like cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages and leeks. Day 285: 19 January 2011 | Exquisite Moments
https://exquisitemoments.wordpress.com/2011/01/20/day-285-19-january-2011
A Year of Daily Earth Communication. Day 285: 19 January 2011. January 20, 2011 in Exquisite Moments. First trip to the beach for this year (and these summer holidays)! It was very hot, humid and the water was unusually warm, brown (rather than its usual turquoise colour) and the waves were dumping. Even the beach was reshaped quite steeply from recent king tides. You could tell that there has been some strange events lately. Day 285: 19 January 2011. Day 284: 18 January 2011. Day 283: 17 January 2011.

A Year of Daily Earth Communication. Day 284: 18 January 2011. January 20, 2011 in Exquisite Moments. On our first car trip out for some time, we drove to Maleny to stock up on school stationery, groceries and visit the library as well as the icecream shop. The day was hot right from the word go and castellanus clouds were promising to build into cumulunimbus sooner rather than later. The expected thunderstorm reached us in the afternoon, hardly interrupting the kids water play. Day 285: 19 January 2011.

A Year of Daily Earth Communication. Day 283: 17 January 2011. January 20, 2011 in Exquisite Moments. Apart from having only a minor repair on the car to pay for, today’s highlight was the welcome discovery of basil growing wild near the karate dojo. Since my basil has been demolished by snails, grasshoppers and insects all summer, I have had a distinct lack of my favourite condiment: Pesto. Of course we had pasta and pesto for dinner tonight. My Queensland Food Garden | Gardening in the Subtropics
My Queensland Food Garden. Gardening in the Subtropics. A vegetable and fruit panorama. Located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. I garden in the subtropics of the Australian East Coast. Wednesday, September 12, 2007. A day in the life of a Soldier. The military has many different jobs and positions which all have different lifestyles. A reserve may work at home, after their training, waiting for when they are needed, whereas, an official commander may be on duty throughout the whole day. The life of a soldier may change from one day to another. Training and when a soldier actually goes to war are different types of lifestyles. So here's the life of a man striving to become soldier.
