Executive Director and Creator. Marty Postlethwait creator of Shadow Buddies , shares her story about turning a challenging situation in her family’s life, into a positive for thousands of other families. Marty currently resides in Olathe, Kansas. She is the mother of three grown children: Melissa, Mallory and Miles. July 4, 2015. Buddies visit the Amazon in Brazil! Dr Mike Good and his wife, Nancy, took a medical team to the Amazon for a medical mission trip. During this time, they traveled 560 miles on the river, visited four villages and provided hundreds with medical, dental and vision care. (One day Mike and the team saw 144 patients! Our Shadow Buddies were able to go along for the ride and found permanent homes along the Amazon river banks. Lots of smiles were spread throughout the Amazon!
