Never felt this much alive. October 29, 2009 – 9:12 pm. Tagged Faith No More. I’m looking forward to the last week of February, which will now be known as Faith No More week (unoriginal, I know). I’ll be seeing them 4 times! I know, kind of obsessive, but I did travel halfway around the world to see them this year, so it seemed stupid not to see them here. Laquo; She’s like the wind. You can’t always do right, but you can always do what’s left. February 4, 2010 – 8:46 pm. So, 2010 has started off pretty well. So far, I’ve only been to see two bands, Torch Le Monde, who were previously mentioned here. And Them Crooked Vultures. Here’s the setlist. If you ever get the chance to see them live, I seriously recommend it. They’re playing the Download Festival this year. Wish I could go. It was awesome last year. Oh well. I was made for loving you, baby. August 12, 2009 – 7:51 pm. I went to see a Kiss cover band a few weeks ago. I know, lame, but my friend knows some of the guys in the band and wanted someone to go with, so I said ok. Anyway, the cover band were good, but their support act was amazing. It was a Sydney band called Torch Le Monde, I guess you’d call them a metal band. They did some original stuff and some covers. Ever heard a metal version of ‘Big Love’ by Fleetwood Mac? Here’s a video:.

You want to chase this rabbit down a hole. November 20, 2009 – 7:36 pm. Here’s footage of one of their songs from Wednesday:. I was trying to find one that showed the facial expressions, but it looks like they were all taken from further away. It appears that the sound was better from there though, the vocals were drowned out by the drums a bit down the front. Laquo; Never felt this much alive. She’s like the wind. September 20, 2009 – 10:09 am. I saw 500 Days of Summer the other day. I thought it was cute, but kind of sad. I just wanted to give Tom a hug. Anyway, it turns out that Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a few other things with the director as well. A music video, which is really cool:. And a bizarre Sid and Nancy thing:. Vodpod videos no longer available. Zooey and Joseph are awesome. I was made for loving you, baby. August 12, 2009 – 7:51 pm. Here’s a video:. Now, I know...

Come together right now. June 19, 2010 – 10:08 am. Last weekend I went to the Come Together Festival. Well, one day of it anyway. I hadn’t heard of a lot of the bands playing, but I really wanted to see The Butterfly Effect and figured it would be fun. It was. The sound wasn’t so great some of the time, but The Butterfly Effect were fantastic and I discovered a few new bands. Heroes for Hire. Here’s a clip of them at Come Together. The eye of the tiger. May 7, 2010 – 10:25 pm. Apart from that, I’ve been doing a few new things – indoor rock climbing and trying to learn electronics. Why? A soldering iron and a few basic kits. While they were kind of fun to put together, I didn’t feel like I knew anything more about, well, anything after making a few of those so I bought another book. This one is called Making Things Talk.
