shallows: April 2015

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a beer by its label? Sunday, April 5, 2015. 20: Påske Bryg (Hancock). Style: Imperial Pilsner, 10.5%. I saw this and was immediately reminded of the posters that used to hang in the bedroom I would stay in at my grandmother's house. It's so very cute and so very Danish and I just couldn't resist. It looks old-fashioned, so I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 20: Påske Bryg (Hancock). View my complete profile.

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a beer by its label? Tuesday, September 30, 2014. 18: Janis Porter (Naparbier). Style: Porter, 6.2%. Just like 60s fashion, this groovy-looking brew is past its prime. If you find this somewhere, keep that in mind. Even though it's old, there are nice chocolatey notes, and it tastes more boozy than I was expecting. I also generally like a thicker mouthfeel and less carbonation in my dark brews. Monday, September 29, 2014. Style: Stout, 8.5%.

They say not to judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a beer by its label? Tuesday, December 16, 2014. 19: Double Hop Monster IPA (Greene King). Name: Double Hop Monster IPA. Brewery: Greene King Brewery. Style: Double IPA, 7.2%. This bottle caught my eye months ago, and I finally got to have one. Can't resist a dragon with gold wings! They say not to judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a beer by its label? Monday, September 29, 2014. Style: Oktoberfest, 5.8%. The first beer I ever liked was an Oktoberfest. It tasted like bread and it was an eye-opening breakthrough for me; I didn't know beverages could taste like that! Sometimes life's bittersweet.
Thursday, November 22, 2012. It's funny how a person describes CHANGE. People change. It's just depending on whether the change is good or bad. But when anyone asks you about change, it's definitely a trick question. Why you ask? Change is constant. If it benefits one, it also disadvantage in other's view. (That sounds so wrong) Never mind. Yes, the fact that change is constant and how change is a part of growing up, makes the world go round. Isn't it worth it? Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.6. Now I'...
