Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Dad moved on up to the fourth floor yesterday, room 4130. They removed the catheter for a while, but had to put it back in last night. However, he is down to the catheter and the central line that goes into his neck. On my very first visit to the SICU the nurse said that all the machines and IV lines would slowly disappear and she was good on her word. April 17, 2012 at 10:44 AM. Way to go Shane keep up the good work- slow and steady wins the race! Love to you and Linda!

Tuesday, May 1, 2012. This is the point we were at 2 weeks ago when they discovered the blood clots and his lungs started having problems. I think this time they have moved more slowly and deliberately towards improving his lung function, so I'm hopeful this time will stick. Dad has his cell phone there with him. His number is 934-1354 if anyone would like to call. Keep in mind there is staff constantly coming and going from his room, so it is common to get interupted by some sort of treatment.
