Sharing our Light

Saturday, March 7, 2015. Hope in the Storm. Since my last post, I have completed treatment 3 and 4, and am preparing for treatment 5 this coming Monday. Treatment 3 was rough physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I've always had a pretty high pain tolerance, so I can take a lot, but I've learned that there is a limit for everything! I felt bad, there is no hiding that, but it wasn't HOW I felt so much as how LONG it lasted! I felt a new since of hope in being able to make it to the end!

Sharing our Light: December 2011

http://sharingourlight.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 12, 2011. 4 more wake ups! Oh my the next 4 days cannot go fast enough! I am ready for my 2 weeks off! However, it dawned on me today that we have 1 weekend until Christmas, and we have almost 0 gifts! Luckily, Corey and I do our best work under pressure, so no worries. Last week I blogged about our R.A.C.K.so I will give a quick update on how things went this week. Each day we completed our acts of kindness, which made me proud! She kept saying, "I can't believe you did this! The other ...

Sharing our Light: Corey

http://sharingourlight.blogspot.com/2014/12/corey.html

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Life with me is not easy. There is a lot to keep up with. Medicines, appointment times, treatment times, multiple doctors, notes from visits, not to mention the game of emotional roulette that gets played everyday. Some days we rock through all of this with no waves, but other days, it is rough! There is no way I could do this without you! Thank you for all you do each and every day! I truly hope that I will never have to repay you for all you have done, but know that if given...

Sharing our Light: August 2010

http://sharingourlight.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 22, 2010. So as of tomorrow both of our girls will be in school! Hard to believe that this day has come so quickly. Morgan has been talking about school since the spring, practically wishing each day of summer away so she can go to Kindergarten! Makinley on the other hand has been avoiding any conversation regarding school! I am confident that she will be a wonderful teacher, but I am going forward into the unknown at this point! So, last night I was talking with Corey after the girls had ...

Sharing our Light: December 2010

http://sharingourlight.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 6, 2010. Well, Sunday I completed my first half marathon! Can't say that I ever imagined being able to say that prior to about 3 months ago! However, running has become an obsession, which seems crazy. As I have mentioned before, running has never been my thing, but I don't say that anymore. How can I when I get up at 5:00 in the morning 3-4 days per week and run in 30 degree temps? Only crazy people do that! On the same note, I don't run, not to finish! There were live bands playing thr...

The Great Adventures of the Little Harwells: Easter Egg Hunt

http://babyharwell.blogspot.com/2011/07/easter-egg-hunt.html

The Great Adventures of the Little Harwells. Thursday, July 21, 2011. I just love our neighborhood. They do so many get togethers. It's great. Every year they have an Easter egg hunt across the street from our house at the park. So we loaded up the fam and off we went. This will be the last time I wear Hannah with this carrier. She's just a tad too big for it. Notice Hailey ready to go with her basket! 65279;4.23.11. Labels: Easter Egg Hunt. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Great Adventures of the Little Harwells. Monday, July 26, 2010. Hailey's birthday party wasn't until late on Saturday afternoon, 3:00 pm. So we decide to let her open the presents from us, Grandmom and Grandmother before her party. I'm all about getting as many miles as possible for birthdays! After chocolate chip pancakes, we opened presents. Grandmom helping open presents. She got the hang of it, no problem. Deciding which ones she wants to try on next. Monday, July 19, 2010. Moving on. Journey: Who Let the Dogs Out?!

http://ahigherjourney.blogspot.com/2012/10/who-let-dogs-out.html

Friday, October 19, 2012. Who Let the Dogs Out? You can thank me later for getting that chorus stuck in your head! Don't get me wrong, I love the dogs.I am the one who rescued them from the street and the pound, but because I am the favorite I have 8 extra feet under mine at ALL times! Wherever I go. to the kitchen, across the room to the couch, to the bathroom.they are always less than a step behind me. And heaven forbid I turn around to change directions! It is like a 10 car pile up on a major highway!

Journey: Wise Friendships

http://ahigherjourney.blogspot.com/2012/11/wise-friendships.html

Thursday, November 1, 2012. So, last weekend we had the opportunity to get out of the city and find some peace and quiet. We went to some cabins in Oklahoma with our best friends, Wendy and Stacy. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful our weekend was! There were so many things that I tossed around when thinking of writing this post. When you are surrounded by nature it is easy to come up with topics! Corey and I treasure Wendy and Stacy more than words can express! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Journey: September 2012

http://ahigherjourney.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 23, 2012. So I was inspired by Keith's testimony today about writing a weekly email to his class and thought I would start. Can't guarentee a new post each week, even though that would be ideal, but I want to write as much as I can! This past week a student brought me the BEST note a coach could ever ask for. Think about it, I am training these 1st through 4th grade girls to run a 5K. I run them every PE class for at least 15 minutes. Most of them whine the entire time! Consider it pure...

Journey: Are you a threat?

http://ahigherjourney.blogspot.com/2012/10/so-how-many-of-you-thought-it-would-be.html

Thursday, October 4, 2012. Are you a threat? So how many of you thought it would be a year before I blogged again? Well it is a little later than I planned but hey, it's gettin done! So, do you ever have those times when things just couldn't get any better? Everyone is happy, healthy, and accounted for.and then it all falls apart! Why is this happening now? But is God the one to blame? Did you ever think that maybe he is after you? But I know that "with God all things are possible", Matthew 19:26. Howeve...

Sharing Our Learning | A blog to share our learning experiences with our classroom community

A blog to share our learning experiences with our classroom community. Why do Grown-Ups Put Salt on the Ground? December 13, 2016. It has been unusually cold these last few weeks. We’ve had new snow on top of melted old snow. It’s a good thing most children have rubber bones, the way they run and slide around. Regardless, there have been numerous reminders to stay off the slippery areas that have not been salted. We had an earlier conversation about how molecules stick together. Think one day in Grad...
