A Planner Abroad!: Silly Songs
http://aplannerabroad.blogspot.com/2008/10/silly-songs.html
On my way to the Congo! Thursday, October 2, 2008. The last few days we started singing all the songs every American Christian child learns at camp in the summer. One of these is "I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N". Akachi filmed this one so that he could teach the kids when he got back home. This was among the many songs sung in the back of the van on our way back from church. We also sang another camp song and created new lyrics for it. Give me oil in my lamp. Keep it burning, burning, burning. He’ll be b...

A Planner Abroad!: Congolese Clothing
http://aplannerabroad.blogspot.com/2008/10/congolese-clothing.html
On my way to the Congo! Wednesday, October 1, 2008. The following are pictures of women's clothing I saw while in the Congo. They had a lot of beautiful clothes. I just wish I was able to take more pictures. Here's my impromptu skirt I wore the first Sunday. It seemed to fit into the usual style pretty well. We visited an orphanage and the woman in charge wore this outfit. I wish I had asked to get a shot from the front. It was beautiful from top to bottom. A woman walking down the street. Our pastor's w...

Just A Guy Writing: September 2006
http://miteshwrites.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Just A Guy Writing. Sunday, September 24, 2006. Why a Spot on the Ground? So why do we care so much about a spot on the ground? What makes the ground so sacred? Hindus and Muslims kill each other over a spot in Ayhodhya, where it was said that Krishna was born. It's not the town that's disputed.it's a spot on the ground upon which a mosque was built. What's the difference? My thought is what if the importance of the ground could be considered to be in the air? Posted by Mitesh at 7:54 PM. That singular m...

New Moon Hazel: April 2007
http://newmoonhazel.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Finding the cure for invisibility. Sunday, April 29, 2007. It took me a while to figure out what was going on. Always just as it had been the last time: everything out of the medicine cabinet, nothing left in. And then I started to notice that while everything may have been. SAY, WHAT KIND OF A BURGLAR ARE YOU? I'd shout into mid-air. No response. Sheesh. If I had bothered to break in to someone's apartment, I'd at least take a bottle of Ibuprofen, for the road. Posted by Tracy at 5:58 PM. Man, this sucks.

Finding the cure for invisibility. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Life Should Be Like. Posted by Tracy at 11:41 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. For my workshop this week, I attempted to define the 'why' of my writing. As in George Orwell. It's a stirring exercise, digging for your 'why'. I'm not going to post my entire scattered self-analysis here (yet), but I do want to share one major revelation: I write to be read. This is such unbelievable crap that sharing it with you actually.
