Annie Sloan | The Painted Branch

This woman is a genius! I’m currently experimenting with her paint and different techniques. It’s a learning process achieved by trial and error but it’s much more versatile than regular old paint! Check out her website and search for stockists in your area so you can explore as well! One thought on “ Annie Sloan. December 24, 2011 at 1:57 pm. Crafty Inspiration and Some Insight. April 30, 2014. Back in January, my husband and I drove to Louisville, KY for a business conference. It was our first experience using the fairly recent lodging website, a irbnb. Here are some inspirational pictures of the house and her answers to my question! Where do you get your sense of style from? Was your mom or dad particularly crafty or thrifty? 8220;Good question and I have no idea! It’s so nasty but rewarding! 8220;Such a tough question! It’s a bbq res...

Room Redesigns | The Painted Branch
https://thepaintedbranch.wordpress.com/before-and-after
I for one LOVE instant gratification! Which why I also love looking at before and after pictures. I can only assume it’s the same reason why HGTV has become so successful. You can watch a major project renovation go from start to finish in 30 minutes! What’s not to love? My parent’s built their home in 1987 where we were raised. This is their dining room that hadn’t been touched, design wise, since the late eighties. In 2008, I decided it was way overdue for a makeover! After: We went with a soft, pink a...

Blog Anniversary and a Deep Blue Desk. The End of Hibernation. March 13, 2014. I know what you’re thinking… No this is not a mistake. You are indeed reading a new blog post from The Painted Branch! Admittedly, I have been hibernating since November and have just recently gotten my barrings back. I don’t even know how the hibernation started but somewhere between the holiday season, starting a new business and taking a few trips, projects and the blog got pushed further and further down the list. You can ...

Coastal Dresser and Furniture Delivery. Blog Anniversary and a Deep Blue Desk →. Desk or Changing Table. October 18, 2013. I know what you’re thinking. Something painted Paris Grey again? Well, I had some left in the can and I wanted to use it up before I went out and invested in another can of paint. It’s not cheap! I started by removing the hardware. After painting one coat of ASCP Paris Grey. I used Minwax Clear Protective finish to seal the top before I painted another coat of chalk paint over it.

Sweet Little Bed Frame. Coastal Dresser and Furniture Delivery →. Double Decker Side Table. October 2, 2013. My mom says she remembers this style of a side table from the seventies. I can’t remember what she called it. In any case, I discovered this charming table in my grandmother’s attic. I loved that it had two levels and the shape and detail along the edges. It’s so dainty but the brown wasn’t helping its cause. ASCP Paris Grey. Was the perfect choice to add a European touch. I love tiered tables too!
