Use the links at the left to view pictures of the original version of the CSXT Shenandoah Division. We held operating sessions on this layout from September 1998 through April 2001. The layout was dismantled and placed in storage in May 2001. There was some scenery in place on the New Castle/Catawba peninsula, but not any on the rest of the layout. Be sure to check out the other links, but here's some pictures of the crew at the final operating session on the original layout, held on April 21, 2001.

N Scale Southeastern Model Railroad in 9' x 10'. Sunday, May 9, 2010. Layout Progress Report #14 as of 05/09/2010. The last couple of weeks have been spent putting up the backdrop for the upper level of the CSR. I've chosen to use 1/8" masonite for the backdrop due to it's ease of use, paintability and low cost at under $7 per 4'x8' sheet. I contemplated using sheet styrene, but it's higher cost and more wall-destructive mounting method (liquid nails) ruled it out. 4 sheets 4'x8' 1/8" masonite hardboard.
