I really did, but I was so anxious to get our house in order that I ignored Sam when he said the kitchen cabinets would need to be sanded first. In my mind he was wrong and all I needed to do was get an all-in-one paint and primer and I could knock out all thousand cupboards in a few days. The Winter of our Years. As we moved into the winter months up here, I started thinking about how Sam and I have moved into the winter-of-our-years. Suddenly health issues some subtle and minor, some more severe moved to the forefront. It seems as though we took a step off the cliff from a brisk and fluid I-can-do-that attitude to yikes-owwee, to creaky, then cautionary and hesitating. The beginnings of a patio area in front.
