The Year of Why Not? Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Welcome to my new 'hood! I decided to spruce things up a bit. I hope you like it. In the spirit of homepage improvement, and because my brain is still in a particularly mushy place, here's another mostly-picture post to save me from a creative meltdown. In the last several months, I got the itch again. You know the one. It happens to me often, most recently a couple of years ago in March when I was stricken with Restless Life Syndrome. No more paintings that m...

The Year of Why Not? Monday, September 23, 2013. 1,000 words: Granada, Nicaragua. Exhausted and happy. My favorite way to come home from an adventure. My mind is still reeling from the trip and the traveling, so until I can process it all, I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from the trip. There will be many stories to come! The Cathedral in El Parque Central. The market. Holy raw meat, Batman. Crater lake at Laguna de Apoyo. Hiking the Puma Trail on Volcano Mambacho. Labels: El Parque Central.

Monday, October 7, 2013. State Fair of Texas. We saw a little petting zoo where Braddock was interested in petting the goats and the calves. But he was mostly interested in just walking along the fence. He's entered the "I want down" stage. What a great day we had with fun people and beautiful weather! Thanks Mom and Dad, and Amanda - the wonder nanny! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Antelope Hunting in New Mexico. She Teaches in Thailand. Tales from a First-Grade Classroom: Gabriel's Gift.

Monday, December 9, 2013. Jeremiah's cousin Jennifer got married last month in Florida. His sister and brother in law, Jaime and Jon, also live in Florida, so we decided to combine the opportunities to see them into one trip! We flew into Orlando to visit Jaime and Jon in their beautiful new home in Leesburg and then drove north to see family and the beach! Our boy is finally one year old! He ate a whole entire slice. Just like mommy :). You have brightened our lives in every way! She Teaches in Thailand.

Being the Bastians: Braddock's First Birthday
http://beingthebastians.blogspot.com/2013/12/braddocks-first-birthday.html
Monday, December 9, 2013. Our boy is finally one year old! What a fun and wonderful year it has been. We just had a small gathering at our house to celebrate after the Parent Dedication at church. It was a perfect day. Braddock was smiling and happy the whole time. During the dedication our sweet friend Krista took some great pictures. After the Dedication we gathered in our little house for some burger sliders and sides. Krista made Braddock a Little Blue Truck cake, and he loved it!

Friday, August 17, 2012. Shelby Cake and Ice Cream. This cuteness is a girl I've taught for 4 years. I've known her since she was a baby and was so excited for her to be in my kindergarten class 4 years ago. I looped up with her to 1st grade, and then I began teaching a 2nd/3rd grade loop and she was in my class again! Her family and 4 other families of children I have taught for 4 years have witnessed Jeremiah and I meeting, dating, being engaged, getting married, and being pregnant! We all three hung o...
