Shetland Otter Watching: October 2014
http://shetlandotterwatching.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 October 2014. Shetland Otter families on a beautiful late autumn day. This particular site is pretty much as good as you can get for photographing otters; long relatively straight shoreline, fairly flat and open terrain with a good sized bank to hide in the shadow of with lovely 'gravelly' stretches of beach where the composition is nice and clean and very few if any boulders that often they can be behind and out of view. Monday, 27 October 2014. A session with mum and three older cubs.
Shetland Otter Watching: February 2014
http://shetlandotterwatching.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 15 February 2014. A passion for Otters: from Arizona to Shetland. It never ceases to amaze me just how strong of a 'pulling power' Shetlands otters have and just how far people will travel to enjoy these magical mammals. This weeks guests Fiona and Jim are a classic example of this, having travelled from Arizona in the USA! It is always a pleasure and I am extremely fortunate to work with otters as I do but is is an even greater privilege when the company is so good! We enjoyed a fascinating va...

Shetland Otter Watching: March 2014
http://shetlandotterwatching.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 16 March 2014. Shetland otters in early March. Its been a busy few weeks since my previous post in February with plenty of activity and action both with my own projects on otters here in Shetland and also with guests seeking to enjoy our otters and learn more about them. This week I had the pleasure of guiding a regular client of mine who has become a good friend over recent years, this was his fourth Otter itinerary with me and what a week it was! Shetland Otter Watching
http://shetlandotterwatching.blogspot.com/2015/04/catching-up-on-recent-otter-encounters.html
Tuesday, 7 April 2015. Catching up on recent otter encounters, a sequence from recent trip where we spent a couple of hours with this family. Although it was a howling gale, up to force nine at times, these two cubs, guided by their mother, carried on with their day none the less. It was a strange day to be out with otters with the battering wind and yet it was a beautiful blue sky day. OUR NEW OTTER BOOK- OUT NOW! Robbie's Northern Exposures: December 2014
http://robbiesnorthernexposures.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wildlife, Images and Blog from 60 degrees North and the Island of Unst. Monday, 29 December 2014. Last post of 2014. Here we are, Christmas is almost over and so is 2014, but what a year it has been! Feb 27th from Ordaal. March 26th over Flugga. On the bird front, I was quite lucky to have found 3 BBs ( 'British Birds' rarities), two at Haroldswick and one at Skaw (Yellow-rumped Warbler, Citrine Wagtail and Spotted Sandpiper at Skaw) - links here. Yellow-rumped Warbler Haroldwick May 8th 2014. One very n...

Robbie's Northern Exposures: May 2013
http://robbiesnorthernexposures.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wildlife, Images and Blog from 60 degrees North and the Island of Unst. Thursday, 16 May 2013. Off Island' pt 2. On the 6th April, we continued our extended trip 'off island' to stay in north Gloucestershire; Catriona and Sula staying at Moreton and Rona and I staying at Longbrough for most of the time - with Catriona taking trips to Oxford and London in between. A couple of days later, Rona and I took the almost obligatory trip to the Cotswold Falconry Centre. One of my favourite birds from Batsford.

Wildlife, Images and Blog from 60 degrees North and the Island of Unst. Saturday, 22 February 2014. Wild seas and Auroras. Yet another month or so between blogs, it's simply not good enough! Folk the idea of maybe tackling a job which they aren't either qualified or skilled enough to do but think they are. Despite all of the bodges done here by 'clever fools', I wouldn't swap it for anywhere else. The road at the south end of Haroldswick. Lamba Ness from Norwick. Lamba Ness from the old road above Norwick.

Robbie's Northern Exposures: July 2013
http://robbiesnorthernexposures.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wildlife, Images and Blog from 60 degrees North and the Island of Unst. Sunday, 28 July 2013. Busy, busy times. Stripping the back roof. Half done (the 'cripples are the triangles with planks on). The back completed (minus guttering). Some of the rot in the front sarking. It's hard to believe it's July! Just a few of the old slates to be 'processed'. One from 'down the cliffs'. And from the day there with Clive. Sunset over Flugga from Saxavord. Baltasound sunset 11.15 pm 24th July. On the odd sunny, cal...

Wildlife, Images and Blog from 60 degrees North and the Island of Unst. Friday, 28 March 2014. I think that was a phrase that was (or still is) used at the end of the ITV national news each night when they had an item of an often less serious nature. In my case the 'good news' was that we at last have had some really nice weather! Well what's been happening up here over the last 3 weeks or so? Red Kit at Sotland Unst. And a Gannet riding the waves. Gone but not forgotten. King Eider at Uyeasound. For man...

The great fibro experiment: Charitable Challenge.
http://thegreatfibroexperiment.blogspot.com/2012/03/charitable-challenge.html
The great fibro experiment. Monday, 26 March 2012. DD and I were sat listening to the radio on Sunday. There was a man on there who was proposing to walk the length of Hadrian's Wall for Sport Aid. DD was saying how he would love to do this barefoot. Being a part time barefooter I agreed, and said that I would love to join him, but would my health allow it? So here is the challenge. I don't for a second think I am going to leap up and walk 73 miles from the North Sea to the Irish sea. Me, Myself and I.

http://thegreatfibroexperiment.blogspot.com/2012/05/lovely-laugharne.html
The great fibro experiment. Thursday, 24 May 2012. I have recently begun a stretch of work for CADW. I am to play Lady Perrot the 16th century lady of Laugharne Castle. To be honest I was more than a little daunted by the idea of two days on my feet giving castle tour to tourists. however, what a wonderful surprise awaited me. I am now under the firm belief that more movement it the way to help with my back pain. It is always sunny Laugharne. Sun is our friend! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chicken...

http://thegreatfibroexperiment.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
The great fibro experiment. Thursday, 20 December 2012. I could sit and count my blessings over the last year but frankly /I don't want to. 2012 has been a roller-coaster of a year that has seen many tears. Don't get me wrong there has been much laughter too. I am eternally belssed with wonderful family, many good friends and a roof over my head and food in my stomach. However, I would like to take these things for granted. So my wish for 2013. Please can the finances of both Barefoot software. The laugh...

Det är först nu i augusti som det verkar se bättre ut! Här är lite bilder från Kreta;. Jag längtar dock tillbaka, till värmen och den goda maten.
