From Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia is hand picked and sorted before being fermented for 24-36 hours. This coffee contains notes of macaroon, prunes and honey. Also from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia is our washed edition with notes of bergamotte and cascara. Is a fully washed coffee from Tarrazú, Costa Rica. The coffee notes are cinnamon spice, anis and pear. We love to host and organise events and workshops whether it’s coffee-related or not. Being equipped with a large kichen and plenty of square meters, The Factory can host receptions, competitions etc. Our aim is also to organise our own coffee events – stay tuned for 2015 dates. If you want to work with us on a specific event please drop by, and let’s have a talk on how we can facilitate your event. At The Factory we also represent SCAE judging and speaking at several international events.

We organize courses as well as offering barista education programmes and cuppings in our facilities at Refshaleøen, and The Factory are SCAE authorized trainers and coffee diploma certifiers. Since the role of the modern international barista has developed far beyond just making coffee at an espresso machine and a grinder, the courses will also focus on general coffee knowledge, other brewing methods and also service knowledge. Besides freshness, roasting your own specialty coffee saves money. Quality green beans sell for about half the price (or less) of already roasted specialty coffee, and green beans keep for at least two years if stored in a dry, well ventilated area. The Factory – About

The Factory is is a place and a community with a fully equipped 15K Loring coffee roaster, sample roaster and lab where you can try the roaster, test coffees, learn about roasting. The facility is also open for start ups who can rent The Factory on a regular basis to test, roast, pack and label their own coffees, thus lowering the entry level investment for starting to “Roast your Own”. We also produce a very limited edition of coffees for sale to offices, restaurants and private consumers.
