See It, Pin It, Do It, Blog It. The Bachelorette – The Week I’m Going To Pretend Never Happened. There’s No Place Like Home →. The Bachelorette – Week 4 “Stick With Me, Kid”. June 9, 2015. My first thought this week that I had that I really wanted to share with y’all is “ABC has mastered manipulating a TV script and turning it into TV gold” A for effort. I also went in to this week with my eyes (and heart) wide open. Tears people, tears. If you missed last week. And then head over here. Everybody know th...

Rants, Ramblings, and Regrets. August 6, 2015. Oversharing. Just don’t do it. Unless you’re my close friend, I don’t need to know that your smoothie gave you the runs all day. I don’t want to try to fake concern while you are cleaning my teeth. With your hands. Gloves or not, I don’t care to be reminded that my dental hygienist was recently wiping their butt. Especially when it involved diarrhea. Just no. NO. Anything fun planned for this weekend? What are ya eating for dinner tonight? Now, when it comes...

Rants, Ramblings, and Regrets. This past weekend, a good friend and I went to the Genoa Candy Dance. I had assumed that people would be dancing and throwing candy around. I mean, isn’t that what it. Like it would be? To my dismay, the Candy Dance was just a bunch of over-priced vendors and food trucks (apparently there is a dinner and dance event in the evening). The food truck part was, however, much appreciated. What I. I Was An Asshole. 8220;Mom, are you watching me do this really cool thing? 8220;Oh,...

Teacher Breath | fattymccupcakes

Rants, Ramblings, and Regrets. August 12, 2015. Today I was reminded why I never wanted to be that teacher who nurses their coffee all day. COFFEE BREATH STANKS. I distinctly remember every single teacher who would lean over me, praising my hard work, with their breath from burning garbage hell. I always wondered how they couldn’t tell their breath was peeling varnish off the desk tops, but I could? He/she is gonna blow chunks! As I’m assessing the situation, I become distinctly aware that Sally is...

The travel musings of a travel lecturer and sometime adventurer. Holidays are about enjoying, exploring, trying out new things, finding love, having never-to-be forgotten moments, finding oneself, meeting new friends, losing old friends! Packing too much, losing your inhibitions, losing your money! Drinking too much, forgetting your passport, burning your skin, getting married (by Elvis) and of course eating! From the prepared to the fresh fish of the market, Menorca is a seafood paradise. If it's at a r...

The travel musings of a travel lecturer and sometime adventurer. Best of sketches in travel week 2. Another Week in Planet Sketches. This week we've been travelling around a little, from Berlin to Cambridge and discussing what sweets you eat on a long journey. Oh and we've had a little look at what's it like to eat sushi. So here's the best of the week's posts on Sketches in Travel. Who doesn't love a sweet? Maybe those that prefer chocolate! And The Pint Shop. The passing of one week leads to another.

Rants, Ramblings, and Regrets. 21 Minute Survival Challenge. It all started with this picture:. Actually, it started with Silver Donkeys at The Depot. Day drinking never, ever makes for a dull time. Add some binge watching of Naked and Afraid, mix in my crazy friend, Alyssa, and you have our insane 21 Minute Naked and Afraid Challenge in the wilds of Oxbow Park, in the heart of Reno. It was intense. This is Alyssa’s version of the tree pose. It’s called, “Ride Em Cowboy”. Just chilling in our shelter....

An Ode to Hairy Women | fattymccupcakes

Rants, Ramblings, and Regrets. An Ode to Hairy Women. August 16, 2015. Courtesy of Buzzfeed via Pinterest. Except this isn’t an actual ode. It’s more like a dedication, but the word ‘ode’ sounded so much more interesting. I can’t write poetry in any form, but I can write one hell of a dedication to hairy women, because I have a lot. Of experience with unwanted body hair. I would call myself a Purple Heart recipient veteran of the War on Body Hair, but I’m still. In the trenches, fighting. It was so unfair.
