http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2009/01/and-shes-back-and-older-and-wiser.html
Sunday, January 11, 2009. And wiser (well, sort of)! Does writing in your blog every four months really constitute blogging? Anyway, just wanted to share the good news that Berrrale turns 31 today! That's 15th of Tevet according to the Hebrew calendar, for those of you who are confused (and thank you for all the happy birthday wishes from December 24th). I will post a picture of my birthday cake as soon as I make one. :). Mazal Tov Berrin,. You don't look a year over 675 - promise! מזל טוב ויומולדת שמח!

The Proud Idiot: May 2008
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2008. Has it already been a week in this country? Or should I say has it only been a week? At once it seems like I just got here and also like I´ve been here forever. The concept of time loses all meaning here. Which is just what I needed from my trip. Long story short, 1 day after we got to Lima, we made our way to Huaraz, which is the central location in the north where all the beautiful treks are run from. I was a little shocked to see this at the bus terminal:. Before we set on the ...

The Proud Idiot: March 2008
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Livin' La Vida Loca. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So lest you think I've been idle all this time-here are some pictures from my trip in Istanbul. I've been partying,. Mingling with some wild creatures,. And burning the house down in my spare time! In short-it's been wild! P I'm off to South Africa in a few hours. A more serious post to follow at some point. Sunday, March 9, 2008. Then there's my absolute favorite in Istanbul winters-the roasted chestnuts:.

Thursday, January 31, 2008. Partners In My Journey. It is thanks to the stormy weather in our little town that I finally sat down to create my blog…. So here I go on my first tangent. Not that I’m surprised by that. I tend to go on tangents in my mind all the time. I travel through them until I practically become one big tangent! It’s very difficult to make sense of it all sometimes. My brain has so many things running through it at one time I don’t know if I could ever manage to meditate.

The Proud Idiot: Summer Time
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008/09/summer-time.html
Monday, September 1, 2008. The picture you see above was taken in the most surreal place I visited in my travels: Rurrenabaque, or Rurre for short. In my anxiety to get out of Bolivia soon, I had briefly considered leaving this place out of my itinerary, but boy am I glad I didn't listen to my inner idiot! Then, the realization that we have come to summer! After weeks of layers upon layers of warm clothing, fleeces, blankets, woolen socks, suddenly the sun is not only bright, but also hot! We had some ch...

The Proud Idiot: Inti Raymi and other festivities
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008/08/inti-raymi-and-other-festivities.html
Sunday, August 10, 2008. Inti Raymi and other festivities. And so it was that while I was running around between Beit Chabad and my Spanish classes, I would see different age groups parading around the city every day for a full week. They started off with the kindergarten children, which I unfortunately missed and moved on until university students. Since there´s a lot of Inti Raymi pictures to go through, I´ll only post one picture from these festivities. Then it was time for everyone to climb Sacsayhua...

The Proud Idiot: February 2008
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 28, 2008. A Year In The Life Of Berrrale. And the fact that I don't actually write songs of my own-which was one of the most important criteria-but it was a really uplifting experience for me to even participate. Well, a year has elapsed and they are having a new season, so if you happen to be in Jerusalem and want to check it out-just read the details on their flyer. And enjoy the talent. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. It's All In The Filling. Oh bad lighting, how I detest thee! Creamy...

The Proud Idiot: La Paz, La Paz, La Paz
http://berrrale.blogspot.com/2008/08/la-paz-la-paz-la-paz.html
Saturday, August 16, 2008. La Paz, La Paz, La Paz. This post isn't actually at all about La Paz, although the picture above is. The thing is it happens to be where I spent most of my time in Bolivia and it's also the central point for pretty much going everywhere. Bolivia is not one of the most developed countries in the world so it helps to be in a central place which is well connected to many remote corners of the country. What is that bowl by the fireplace, you say? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
