http://superstarchivist.blogspot.com/2013/01/42-things.html
From the mixed-up files of a "lone arranger" in the heart of the Peach State. Saturday, January 5, 2013. Some folks out on the interwebs have posted lists of 40. And I've been inspired. Unfortunately, I'm a little late to the game, so I'm going to shoot for 42 things before I turn 42 on January 7, 2014. As many of you know, the number 42 has galactic significance. So this seems like a good year to try new things! Here's my list. Thank you for following along! Have to skip the country. 15 Meet some more o...

Superstarchivist: Happy 2013!
http://superstarchivist.blogspot.com/2013/01/happy-2013.html
From the mixed-up files of a "lone arranger" in the heart of the Peach State. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Time to blow the dust off the ol' blog and say hello. In lieu of new year's resolutions this year, I'm planning a list of "42 things to do before I turn 42" (I've missed my chance at 40 before 40, I'm afraid, and 41 is almost here). One of those goals is to blog more, so maybe I'll actually do it this time! Hopefully this is just the first of numerous posts for 2013. Hold me to it, ok?

Nuthing But.Net: Sci-Tech Bunching of the LSW?
http://www.nuthingbut.net/2008/12/sci-tech-bunching-of-lsw.html
My thoughts on librarianship, open access, computing, and other stuff. Saturday, December 6, 2008. Sci-Tech Bunching of the LSW? I am getting tired of being in multiple library organizations to get my fix of science, engineering and technology conferences. My main affiliation is with the SLA, but ALA/ACRL/STS and ASEE/ELD (and ASIST) are secondary and tertiary affiliations for me. (I used to belong to the AAAS, but I dropped that a couple of years ago.) I bet others feel the same way. Sharon Chadwick, Hu...

To read is to voyage through time: March 2009
http://voyage-through-time.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
To read is to voyage through time. Tuesday, 31 March 2009. It's really not that difficult. In all fairness, if I had read the summary more carefully, I might have known not to listen to it at all, given it refers to "the Dewey cataloguing system." I'll give the librarians a moment to climb down from the ceiling before explaining. Scheme, of which Dewey is one. When you look at a library catalogue, that bit at the top where the title and author and all the other bibliographic information is contained?
