show Peter: and I thought my Xbox 360 controller was complicated!
http://www.showpeter.com/2008/05/and-i-thought-my-xbox-360-controller.html
May 21, 2008. And I thought my Xbox 360 controller was complicated! Check out this article. Which compares 16 F1 racing wheels. No these aren't the cheezy plastic ones sold by Logitec and Creative, these are the real deal. My favorite is the 2007 McLaren Mercedes wheel with a little arrow showing the famous button that Hamilton pushed by mistake. It should be labeled "2nd place" on it. I suppose that might be hard to read pulling 5 g's at 300 kph, but hej, isn't that what they get paid for?

http://www.showpeter.com/2008/05/open-source-make-it-yourself-gadget.html
May 22, 2008. Open source make it yourself gadget. They have the hardware, the crowd supplies the application software. Snap-on modularity meets plug-in functionality. New build-your-own-gadget device has seen the light of day. By snapping on modules you can add functionality to your own gadget. You can download open source software applications or make your own to get your gadget to do whatever you want. Kind of like a mash-up for hardware. View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

the Microsofist: Politicians fighting for more expensive plane tickets
http://www.microsofist.com/2007/12/politicians-fighting-for-more-expensive.html
Friday, December 7, 2007. Politicians fighting for more expensive plane tickets. Oh boy, this is really going to get funny. It appears that the politicians feel they have the public support necessary to start milking another industry. Jet travel will be the next victim of the tax the crap out of everything in the name of reducing CO2 emissions circus. The argument is that the travel industry has not been subject to CO2 quotas. So now that has got to change. This is all very logical in a perverted kind og...

the Microsofist: Turning garbage into energi
http://www.microsofist.com/2009/04/turning-garbage-into-energi.html
Thursday, April 23, 2009. Turning garbage into energi. A great article from NewScientist about plasma gasification. Simply put: zap your garbage at 10,000 degrees celcius and you get a gas that when scrubbed can be turned into methane, ethonol or a diesel-like fuel. The waste product is an inert glass-like substance that can be used in the building industry. Maybe we aren't so far from "Back to the Future" than we thought? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). the Microsofist: Just because you trust my judgement....
http://www.microsofist.com/2007/12/just-because-you-trust-my-judgement.html
Sunday, December 2, 2007. Just because you trust my judgement. Just because you trust my judgement doesn’t mean I should trust yours. Simple enough; trust is either earned or given. Although I can choose to give you mine, I expect to earn yours. Because as the late great philosopher Groucho Marx once said: “I would never be a member of a club that would have me as a member.”. Haven't I heard this one before? 20 February, 2008 15:18. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

the Microsofist: Connie the climate warrior
http://www.microsofist.com/2007/12/connie-climate-warrior.html
Monday, December 3, 2007. Connie the climate warrior. In Denmark we have a Minister for Climate. Her name is Connie, she loves to hear herself talk. As an ex-talkshow host that would come naturally. Connie loves Al Gore. She thinks Al is a really insightful guy. Connie loves to talk the tough climate talk just like Al. So the combination of chatty ex-talkshow host and failed president candidate looking for something to do (thanks Al, we could have done without Bush) makes for some interesting rhetoric.
