Friday, May 15, 2009. Thursday, May 7, 2009. The boss is back. The girl is home. Thank Christ. Three weeks of staring in to the abyss are over. I'm a maudlin kinda cat at the best of times and there were a few dark moments in the boss's absence. But the sun's back out and shit is back to normal. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Breathing is awesome. Sadly its also pretty difficult at the moment. There's a big old infection perched in my lungs and walking is a chore, any exertion more than that is nigh on impossible. Which is making my working life fucken interesting. Short days are in order. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. The busy time is almost upon us. The bookings are filling in at work and the worst of the winter doldrums seem to be receding. People seem to have a spring in their step and a buck in their pocket. The next couple of months should be fun. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. I've been off the ciggies for three months. I still miss them like a child but its slowly getting easier. I've been sick almost constantly since, which I'm hoping is just part of the body's way of cleaning house. The latest novelty has been pleurisy which was damnably painful and inconvenient. Sunday, March 29, 2009. A bunch of stuff has happened since I last posted. Some good, some bad, some indifferent. Firstly the girl is away. Three weeks in Thailand and China with her Mum. I'm not as good at being alone as I thought. The band played it's first show at Swampy the bass player's birthday party. We were pretty good in parts. However we shouldn't have played that impromptu set after midnight. I can't remember what songs got played or even if they could be considered songs.

There's been a couple of deaths in my circle of friends and aquaintances in the last couple of months, both larger than life characters, tougher, hardier men than myself.
