As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, festival season is beginning. The biggest, by far, is Ganpati, but there are others as well. Today, I went to temple with a Jain friend of mine. Jains. Are currently in the midst of celebrating an eight day festival called Paryushana. The festival celebrates the asceticism that defines Jainism and its founder, Mahavira.
