Y que acabó con el 95% de los seres vivos. Nuestros antepasados, los cuales constituían las criaturas más grandes sobre la superficie, mientras que una especie de subreptiles conocidos como diápsidos. De muy escaso tamaño y situados más abajo en la cadena trófica que los terápsidos. Más tarde darían lugar a los dinosaurios.
