http://sidetrackd.com/2013/09/16/weekend-antics
Quick, before I get Sidetrack'd. Thoughtfully penned on September 16th, 2013 and generally concerning Family. God's at Work in My Life. The weekend began with giraffes, just because it was Friday,. And ended with trampoline hair at small group on Sunday evening. The time between was packed with fun, and work, and rest. A freezer filled with meals for the days and weeks to come. Hanging out with the cousins who we see much more often now, but not nearly as often as we’d prefer. But oh, how good God is!

Quick, before I get Sidetrack'd. Waking up is hard to do. Thoughtfully penned on July 11th, 2013 and generally concerning Life with littles. My older kiddos roll out of bed early and hit the ground running. They’ve been that way from the very beginning. Not S No, my sweet middle girl takes after her momma. And that means waking up doesn’t come easy. Seriously, it’s like coffee for the three year old set. Noise from the peanut gallery. Middot; July 11th, 2013 at 8:28 am. September 3, 2010 at 7:30 am. I figured you wouldn’t mind that I keep it short as long as I show you a couple pictures of little Jansen. We have several million pictures but these are just a couple from my cell phone. They aren’t the best quality but he’s so cute that it doesn’t really matter. He was born at 1:37am on September 2. He weighed 7lbs. 14 oz. and was 20 inches long. He’s totally not a bobble head like we expected. In fact, he’s quite perfect. Entry filed under: Uncategorized. September 3, 201...

http://www.hyperactivelu.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Friday, May 30, 2014. Links to this post. New home- South Carolina. Back Home- Part 2. I don't even remember all thats happened since the first update. Its truly been a blur. It seemed to take a few weeks to get rooms unpacked and semi-livable. I'm not really sure why, but this has been one of the hardest moves. and we've moved a LOT. Don't believe me? We have been married not even twelve years. and we've moved eight times! Crazy And we aren't in the military! We still hav...
...thoughts from the depths of Lu: Let's Have Chili
http://www.hyperactivelu.com/2014/12/lets-have-chili.html
Thoughts from the depths of Lu. After starting THM in the Fall, I began to wonder "how was I going to get my chili fix? Its one of my favorite things to make in the Fall/Winter! I had seen a few recipes in the THM book but I was certain I'd miss my 4-6 cans of beans=pot of chili! After looking at the two recipes in the book, I decided to try out one of them. We tweaked it a bit. Accidentally burned some of it. And surprisingly enough, we ended up with an award winning pot of chili (3rd? Kinda funny. ...

Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Three years ago, if you had asked us what churches we had been to that are labeled "non denominational" we probably had gone to it and knew why we didn't like it or "what was wrong with it". Our area is covered in churches. We are quite spoiled in that regards. Literally 3 churches on every corner, instead of a church on every corner. We leave in the South! It was a wonderful season. One that didn't last too long. Talk about feeling like a failure! Slowly, but surely, we X...

Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Menu Plan - August - Week 2. Name of the game- yet again- eat at home and stick with our menu plan! Doesn't always mean the days/meals happen as planned, but as long as we eat what we have, we've done good! Sunday morning- Chebe cinnamon rolls and yogurt. Sunday evening- Leftover chili or PB&J sands. Monday morning- Yogurt parfait. Monday afternoon- Spaghetti squash w/ meat sauce. Monday evening- Eggs, bacon and fruit salad. Tuesday evening- BBQ pork and veggies. The sky i...

http://www.hyperactivelu.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Along comes the clever harlot, namely natural reason,. Looks at married life,. Turns up her nose and says,. Why, must I rock the baby, wash its diapers, change its bed, smell its odor,. Heal its rash, take care of this and do that? It is better to remain single and live a quiet and carefree life. I will become a priest or a nun and tell my children to do the same.". But what does the Christian faith say? The father opens his eyes, looks at these lowly and distasteful, and.

Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Trying to catch up on some blogging! Waiting for Mama to say "Come on down! Opening up our last "door" on the Advent calendar! A few pictures of our decorating! Awaiting Nana and Pops, Mark and Lindsey and baby cousin! We had a great laid back Christmas day! They played and played and played! I think they were having so much fun because they didn't even ask for a snack or lunch or drinks! Hubbie and I had hours to ourselves to just sit and enjoy the quiet! Not really sure ...

Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Happy Birthday, Buggy Boo! Seems like only yesterday when we were announcing the arrival of our sweet boy, Buggy. What a sweet blessing he has been to our family! Celebrating him each year reminds us how short the years really are. Even if some days feel like an eternity! I'm so grateful that I blogged through my pregnancy, birth and early years of Buggy- consistently! Like his first birthday video. Be still my heart! Buggy is one of our most loving little people. Thoughts from the depths of Lu. Nature Walk: A Small Change in Our Schooling. I decided to scrap what we've been doing in Science. We begun our year with Beautiful Feet Science. I really do love Beautiful Feet's way of laying things out, the books they choose, etc.BUT. Our schooling day last til 2-3pm most days. and our children are only 8 and 5. We try to get started by 8:30-9 and we do break for lunch, lego time and outside play (weather permitting), but still, we're only in 3rd and 1st grade! Our fami...

Ramblings of a poet, painter and photographer. Monday, August 10, 2015. The story goes that in the wild west killing wasn't a killing offense, but recreation. Only two things a man could be hung for were stealing a man's horse or his water. Both were cruel methods of killing someone. You have to live here to understand that. And you know you will never move when you totally understand it. No swimming, boating or fishing. If no people die, no livestock thirst to death, no crops are infused with toxic chem...
