Commercial Pilot CPL/IR ME. With both JAA and FAA certificates. November 01, 2011. The last couple of weeks have been nothing but fog and low clouds over most of southern Norway, which is hardly ideal weather for a skill test, but as the day of my skill test for the JAA multi engine commercial pilot certificate and instrument rating arrived yesterday, it was clear skies and not a cloud in sight. My First Taste of Aerobatics. Aerobatics flight in a Grob 115 at Klanten airfield. June 19, 2013. Last Saturday my cousin invited me to join him going to an aerobatics fly-in at Klanten airfield located at about 850 ft up in the Norwegian mountains, and I happily accepted. Since I did most of my flight training in Florida where the ground is pretty much all flat, flying in the mountainous regions here in Norway still gives me a feeling of excitement every time as I am taking in the beautiful scenery.

A Recap of Last Year's Flying Activities. A couple of years have passed since I completed flight training and became a Commercial Pilot. I am actively applying for pilot jobs as I have been for last couple of years. Since the job market appears to be somewhat slow these days, I am also studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Oslo University College while I keep searching eagerly for my first pilot job. As described in my previous post, My First Taste of Aerobatics. April 09, 2014.

From The Back Seat. Tagging along on a Student Pilot training flight. September 26, 2008. Not too long ago I had the privilege of going along in the back seat for the very first landing practice flight of a Student Pilot. It was indeed a fun experience and made me smile as I was thinking of my own pre-solo training. The flight went from Kjeller airfield north of Oslo, Norway to the neighboring airport Rygge where we stayed in the pattern doing a series of landings. A potential trouble maker. Max Trescott...

Returning to Flight Training. Part 1: Brushing up on the basics. October 16, 2008. I still remember those times back in the early days of my pre-solo training where I spent all my time flying the traffic pattern and my instructor was trying to teach me the most crucial of all flying skills - to be able to land an airplane safely. Sitting here looking at my Pilot Certificate as irrevocable proof of my ability to safely operate an aircraft, I can honestly say he did a very good job. October 12, 2008. To pr...

Adding an SEP rating to my CPL license. November 10, 2012. It all went perfectly fine, and I enjoyed every monent of it as I was piloting the aircraft around showing the examiner that my skills were up to par.
