About – Magdalena's SCA Stuff
https://magdalenavk.wordpress.com/about
Magdalena's SCA Stuff. Adventures in Calligraphy and Illumination and Rapier. I’ve decided like all the cool kids to start a blog about my SCA projects, mostly Calligraphy and Illumination. I’m a newish scribe. I’ve been dabbling for awhile but just put myself in for East Kingdom scribe in the Fall. I live in “Quintalingia” (right on the border of the Barony of Carolingia and the Shire of Quintavia). If I’m not scribing, you’ll probably find me on the rapier field. Or hanging out in Sharc Pit.

There’s an AoA out there somewhere that didn’t go out at the court where it was originally scheduled and is still waiting to be handed out. This a Seamstress Scroll for Constance. This is based upon the Hours of Catherine of Cleaves c.1440 MS M.945, ff. 70r: this page. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Fencing is just as much an art as the other activities in this blog, and in the interest of not trying to manage multiple SCA blogs, I’m going to write about my fencing journey here as well. Photo by Elizabeth Elenore Lovell. I started rapier in 2001, so why decide to become a cadet 15 years later? Posted in About Me. Award of Arms Scrooby of Carolingia.

Scattered Sampling of an SCA Scribe. Thursday, February 01, 2007. Doing this scroll was AWESOME and the look on Petra's face when she got it was so worth it! She loves it and couldn't stop looking at it! Doing things like this totally make my day! Sorcha and Petra with their AOAs. This is a close up of Petra's scroll. I also have a close up of Sorcha's scroll somewhere. I have to dig it up and post it here too! From this angle you can see the raised gilding. Words by: Sir Lucius Aurelius Varus. Words (wi...
