all the above: Great barrier reefer madness, part II

Great barrier reefer madness, part II. Saturday, November 14, 2009. Aight, so I know I'm a little slow with this blog shit, but it's time to actually get to the 'Great Barrier' part of the title. Later that day, Leslie joined the rest of our fam in Cairns. After another night of debauchery, we were ready to head up to Cape Tribulation for the 'Rainforest' and 'Reef' part of our jungle tour. After the river tour, we checked into our hostel at Cape Trib. Now, I was impressed with Gilligan's in Cairns, ...

All eyes on kobe, lebron. Thursday, April 16, 2009. With KG out and Bill Simmons all but crying, it looks like this year, we're likely going to have the two best basketball players in the world facing off in the finals. They'll probably guard each other a decent amount of the time, too, and you know it's going to be legendary. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All eyes on kobe, lebron. Diseño por David Herreman. Saturday, March 8, 2008. So there exists this concept called the '12-hour plane ride test' that basically asks the question: are you interesting enough to hold a conversation with a stranger on a plane for twelve hours? It's a pretty cool way to think about gauging your life and accomplishments and personality, but at the same time, being able to answer 'yes' to the proposed question probably isn't as important as the process you take in order to reach that level of interestingness. Well, would you?

Jan 30 - Feb 1:. Berlin for the weekend! Feb 27 - Mar 2:. Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Germany (Spring Break). Mar 30 - Apr 2:. President Obama's public speech at Prague Castle. Paris avec ma famille. A continuation of my life after Prague can be found here. No promises of swaggering adventures, handsome European men or nights spent ridiculously blazed. But I try to keep things interesting for myself. You never know. An American college sophomore spending her spring semester in Prague.

Numbers on a face. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Why did he(she) say what he said the way he said it, and why did he say it about what he said it about? Basically, why bother? So if that's the case, then I guess what's at stake for a riddle actually lies in its question, in why the riddler saw the clock as a face without a thirteen. Famous riddlers: the Riddler, the Sphinx, Gollum, Voldemort. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Numbers on a face. Diseño por David Herreman. Por Blog and Web.

What more can a man ask for. Sunday, August 23, 2009. Or a Bill Simmons-produced sports documentary event. Check out my first rainy day in Brisbane. I should mention that it actually hailed later that day, but the rainbow was pretty cool.you can't see it in that pic, but there was actually another, paler one running parallel above it. They also both arched fully. Across the sky, making it the first time I had ever seen two of them do that. And I know I sound like a poof, but it was gorgeous.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Bruce asked from atop his perch on the table. Nothing." Rachel turned away playfully, using her body to shield her new discovery. Catching a glimpse of her playmate's curiosity, she flashed him a smile and then ran through the greenhouse, clutching the arrowhead and yelling out, "finders, keepers! She called out as she bounded down the hill in hot pursuit of the thief. With a laugh, Bruce responded, "finders, keepers" and turned to make his great escape, but with a sudden crack o...

No explanation, no mix of words or music. Monday, October 19, 2009. Or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time in the world. The thing about life is that it just hits you. Hard. Like, Brian Dawkins hard. But that's the beauty of it: there's that much to feel in life, so when you're livin it to the fullest, it just hurts so good. A memory. Here's another. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://shunnedone.blogspot.com/2009/08/first-impressions-down-undah.html
First impressions down undah. Wednesday, August 5, 2009. The first thing I noticed in Australia is that people know how to live. There are sofas (as benches) in every mall, people go out Wednesday through Sunday night, wakeboarders just rip through the shark-infested river, and everyone says whatever they want. Aussies love to fuck around, and that's pretty much all I've been doing since I got here. Canuck greg and minnesota mike]. Mike on the porch]. This is where we get on the boat]. Diseño por David H...

One of the best things about Australia is what I've taken to calling the Aussie state of mind. You know the one I'm talking about, where they call everyone "mate" and instead of saying "you're welcome," they say "no worries." Combined with the accent, listening to conversations down here is just so relaxing. We don't make plans here. A "plan" here is a text from Mara saying "hey, we're making dinner, want to come over? This semester, and since they've offered me (and I've accepted) a spot in their Alto s...
