One of Slow Food Mildura’s major priorities is supporting food education programs in Sunraysia schools. Each year we allocate a significant portion of funds we raise to our annual grant program which provides school kitchen gardens with up to $1000 each in funding support. Sunraysia schools which have benefitted from this program in recent years include Irymple South Primary School, Henderson College, OLSH Merbein Primary School, Wentworth Public School, Gol Gol school and Buronga Public School.

The Slow Pig workshop event is held each winter and commenced in 2013. We make our own sausages and salami in a traditional Calabrian style.
