The frame had been damaged, how I don't know but i think the towing company that picked up the unit after it's engine failure didn't connect up to it correctly. I used the original frame as the basis for a template to mount the lower control arms in relation to the strut and therefore the front end alignment. This is a JPG of the 3.3L custom frame. Phase II; Engine upgrade to 3.8L Chrysler 10/15/06. I acquired an 02 3.8L from a wrecking yard that had been damaged while being removed from the vehicle. The engine came from a Chrysler Town and Country with 22k miles on it. The alternator mounting on the timing cover was broken off, greatly reducing the value of the engine as a direct. Replacement unit. The 97 3.3L develops 165hp/181ft-lbs torque while the 02 3.8L puts out 215hp/245ft-lbs, which prompted this adventure. 8 major engine modifications.

This is the type of damage that a tire recap will do if you hit one at night doing 65mph. Also scares the hell outa' ya! This damaged boot was the reason for pulling the axles and replacing the boots. Since I had to do one, I went ahead and did them both. Before putting the LS on jackstands, break the 30mm locknut.
