Oh my goodness, the Ancestor. Podcast is very good. If you like audiobooks, give it a listen, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Earthcore is damn good as well, by the same author. Posted by Paul Marshall at 21:30. Had a nasty bug on Friday, spent most of the day in bed. Clare had it Saturday, we're just praying the kids don't get it now. Someone gave me some nice tools for converting DVD's onto your iPod video. First one is a DVD decrypter. Which compresses the video to MPEG4 so you can put it on your iPod.

Update to the story I mentioned. In December about the Performance Rights Society. Well it seems the local rag in Macclesfield. Has picked up on the story. I wonder if there's some way to back this guy's plight? It was on Radio 2 and Adam Curry has been talking alot about this on his podcast. Hopefully we can get some backing for this guy. Soon they'll want us to pay if we use AirTunes (or similar), because it could be hacked by someone else and hence be a public broadcast. You think I'm joking?

Another W/E bites the dust. Saturday I put my new mitre saw. To good use, shortening the new table from Ikea; then put the new chairs and stools together. I think our kitchen may be finished . oh no, we need to get the dishwasher fixed, it doesn't seem to be cleaning properly. Liverpool got back to winning ways. And put on a decent display of football in the process, a bit of a relief after recent games. Posted by Paul Marshall at 22:14. Top interview, you should have a listen. Went to Ikea after work, 3...

Well, LFC created about 20 goal scoring opportunities in the first half, but if you can't put the ball in the back of net, you don't deserve to win. I'm sure if Mourinho was the manager he'd be saying the best team lost, but he'd be wrong. Posted by Paul Marshall at 08:37. It's nice to see Jose Mourinho accepting defeat gracefully again . Posted by Paul Marshall at 09:09. And we must do everything we can to stop it. I think this is similar to what Adam Curry has been talking about on his podcast.

Check out the Four Blokes. Not to be confused with one of my favourite African bands, the Four Brothers. A friend of mine is involved, hopefully we'll be able to go and their show Bouncers. It looks interesting, I like small theatre productions, rather than large elaborate shows, I'm looking forward to going. Posted by Paul Marshall at 09:08. Press the big green button! We ran out of water! Hmm, I wonder if we should get a manual override pump, in case of a power cut. Posted by Paul Marshall at 10:54.

Long time no blog. I can't believe it's been 6 weeks since I last blogged, though I don't suppose anyone has noticed (other than you, ST). What a busy time. decorating, ensuite nearly complete, family all had colds. And at work. investigating Pro/Intralink 8, UNIX script problems, Engineering IT conference. So much more has happened, but I can't remember it all, it's gone by in a blur. I've posted a picture of my new car on Flickr. My warmest wishes go to Madge. Posted by Paul Marshall at 14:35.
