An engaging concrete bathroom faucet. The goal of the project was to design a high-end bathroom faucet. I first had to explore what "high-end" means, and the defition of a faucet. High-end is bold, clean, tall, sharp, contrasting, and has an element of thrill. With this in mind, I set out to design a faucet that creates anticipation in dispensing water. I sketched some ideas. I was inspired by displaying water in interesting ways before dispensing it.

A new wireless fencing experience. The sport of fencing is commonly recognized as a form of sword fighting. This is partially true. It is sword dueling in origin, infused with rules, safety, and technology. Wireless scoring exists. However, it is either very expensive and for Olympic fencing, or only for detecting touches with epee. An elegant, all-weapon-inclusive wireless solution is necessary. I sketched some ideas. An interactive lighting fixture inspired by bioluminescence. The goal of the project was to create a lighting fixture that was inspired by nature. From the beginning, I was inspired by bioluminescence. Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by a living organism as a result of chemical reactions. I sketched some different ideas, and narrowed it down to one concept. I came up with the design details to actually build the light. I chose white and transparent black acrylic.

Coca Cola Play,. Using leisure to redesign the in-store beverage purchase experience. The project objective was to define opportunities and design new merchandising platforms for the brands of the Coca-Cola Company that compliment the experience model of the value department store. Value department stores (logos above) place emphasis on the "treasure hunt", finding that perfect article of clothing at a great price. Value department stores define their primary shopper as women, 25-55. A place to rest.

A plywood bicycle for the student commuter. The goal of the project was to design a bicycle for a student commuting to class by bike. The project was in collaboration with Nivay Sahaye and Ariel Coello, and was sponsored by SRAM. I participated in the research and ideation phases, and was primarly responsible for the 3D CAD, all done in SolidWorks. Our team developed a persona, and studied the challenges that this persona, the student commuter, faces on their ride to, around, and from campus.
