An Old Hag's Tale: A Random Thought
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2012/06/random-thought.html
Thursday, June 28, 2012. It's funny how when I was pregnant, few people would give up their seats for me. I would say, out of 10, maybe 3 or 4 would give up their seats. Anyways, I was baffled by the stark contrast I'm seeing with being pregnant and with a live child. I begin to wonder why I wasn't offered as many times a seat when I was pregnant, and I just thought of a possible reason just now! To the commuters, give up your seats whenever possible to people who needed them. View my complete profile.

An Old Hag's Tale: Those Vegan Stuff...
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2012/12/those-vegan-stuff.html
Saturday, December 1, 2012. Hubby told me about the Vegan Burg sometime ago. He asked if I wanted to try it. I gave a flat no. I'm a carnivore. There is no way I am eating some tofu burger. The thought of eating tofu burger really gross me out. Really. I rather eat fresh vegetables or fruits or simply just tofu. We waited for quite a while after ordering. I think they only prepare it when you order. I had the Cream Pepper Shrooms burger meal. I took a bite. You know like in those anime?

An Old Hag's Tale: March 2013
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 3, 2013. Too Quiet for a Celebration. Ok this is it. I have had enough. Ever since the Amy Cheong saga, the malay weddings around my neighbourhood had been extremely quiet! Seriously, I swear that if I had stayed home the whole day I wouldn't even know there was a wedding ongoing! The music was too soft for goodness' sakes! Not just my neighbourhood, but some nearby neighbourhoods as well. I wondered if this was due to the AC saga? You can make all the noise if YOU want to! Subscribe to: Po...

An Old Hag's Tale: June 2011
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 3, 2011. Am I glad that certain flavours just never change. The taste of well-fried fish drizzled with light soy sauce, together with white porridge now is exactly the same when I had it about 25 years ago. With the ever-changing world, I tend to seek solace in this kind of oldie food, reminding myself that however the world has changed, I am still myself. How I wish I can go back to my childhood. Things were so much simpler, even the food tasted simpler then. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

An Old Hag's Tale: July 2012
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Parents, Be Strong! I have decided long ago that I must be strong if I were to be a mummy. We can't be worried about every teeny weeny things that happened or are going to happen to our children! Thing is, we ARE going to worry about them for the rest of our lives! So, we have to be selective in the things that we worry about. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger! So if you've got a child in a childcare recently and he/she cries all whole day, so be it. As long as the...

An Old Hag's Tale: February 2011
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. I thought. But I still feel a sense of guilt from my negligence. I told my mum and she said maybe "someone" held on to DD while she fell, that would explain why she is unhurt. I stopped and pondered over her remarks. That guardian angel would have to be my grandfather! I looked at my grandfather's tablet and said a prayer of thanks, hoping he will continue to watch over DD. Thursday, February 10, 2011. What happened to "motherly instinct"? Tuesday, February 8, 2011.

An Old Hag's Tale
http://nanami-nanami.blogspot.com/2012/05/what-kind-of-singapore-does.html
Wednesday, May 23, 2012. What kind of Singapore does Singaporeans want? Is this the kind of Singapore that we Singaporeans want? Sure, we can always buy the tissue paper or give the empty cans to the old ah gongs and ah mahs. We can drop some money for some of them whenever we pass them by. But, for how long? Being old and destitute does not mean that they do not have dignity. Why do some of our elderly have to be treated like this? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Her Little World Of Allegories.
