Simple Life in the Woods. Wednesday, December 2, 2015. The suggestion of possibly purchasing a tree came up this year and the kids all refused. We have cut down our own Christmas tree since we've had kids. It's a tradition that wasn't going to be changed. Although, we might need to plant some more trees on our property that are good candidates. This year Oscar got to cut it down by himself.
