Tuesday, March 31, 2015. ミシンをテーブルの上に置くと高すぎて使いづらいので、埋込み式のテーブルがずっと欲しいと思っていたのですが、今まではそれほどミシンを使うこともなかったし、新しいテーブルに穴を開けたくなかったりで、椅子を高くしてミシンを使っていたのですが、今回フリーモーションをするにあたりミシン用のテーブルを作ってもらいました。 まだフリーモーションが好きになるかどうか分からないので、時間とお金を費やすのも勿体無いと思い、まずは、家にあった材料で作ることに。 どうしても動かしやすい方向があって、苦手な向きになるといちいちキルト全体の向きを変えたり、抑えてる自分の手が邪魔になったり、ミシンのスピードをあげたいのに、手に集中してて足のコントロールがきかなかったり、自分ってこんなに運動音痴だったっけ？ と情けない。 Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Not only is she super sweet, but she is the most creative home decorator i know! Seriously, country living needs to hire her! Thursday, April 16, 2015. Inexpensive and BIG white board. I needed a large whiteboard for our classroom but I didn't want to spend a fortune. They have these 24x36 frames in many colors. I got mine for $12 on sale! All I did was take the display paper and turn it over to the white side. The plastic cover is perfect for dry erase markers and now I have a big, inexpensive white board! Monday, June 27, 2011. 今キルティング中のWholecloth Quiltの周囲はScalloped Edge。バイアスでの縁取りではなく、裏・表の布を内側に折込んで縫い合わせていく方法。 . キルティングはまだ100％終わってませんが、エッジング作業開始しました。 かなり根気が必要な作業で、私の場合、長時間続けていると縫い目が雑になってくるのが分かっているので、無理をせず嫌になったら手を止めながら3日かかってようやく３/４が終了。 今週の木曜日からワシントンDCに行きます。（宿泊はMaryland）車で行くので、今回も旅のお供を用意しました。 Small Quilts with Vintage Charm by Jo Mortonの本から. 12302;Sarah's Album Cross』を参考として選び布をカット。 なかなか出番のないCharm Packを使うことにして、なるべく布の好き嫌いをしない、少しくらい配色が悪くても気にしないと決めて、とにかく布を使い切ることが今回のプライオリティ。 Http:/ www.dar.org/museum/.

Charlotte Quilt Show 2015. 3月14日の土曜日にCharlotteのMETROLINA TRADESHOW EXPOで行われたキルトショーに行ってきました。午後から雨降りの予報ということもあり、お昼近くになって急に行くことに。土曜日は4時までなのに着いたのが２時過ぎ。3時半近くになると片付け始めるVendorさんもあって、さ～と見て回りました。 お楽しみのVendorさんのブース （一部）. Monday, February 23, 2015. 布の片付けをしていたらトップの途中で止まってる物を発見。あともう少しだし、途中のままにしておくのも片付かないので、まずはコレを仕上げちゃいましょ。（とりあえずトップだけ）. ２０１３年のカレンダーだと思います。その中にいいなぁって思ったキルトがあり、たまってるスクラップ布を使うのにちょうどいいかもという理由で選んだような気がします。 . それにしても、スクラップ布ってなかなか減らないし、片付かない。 残っているのは、サークルの部分。これは後回しにしたくなるわけだ。( ;). ピースを作るのは楽しいけど、これ全部縫い付けるのは大変だ。(T T).
