Today when I didn't hear a response from my Temp Agency about my contract with the government I sent them another email, this time with a delivery and read receipt request. The Life and Times of Tracy. Now an indeterminate public servant with the Government of Canada working for the RCMP! Thursday, November 13, 2008. I GOT A JOB - Through a placement agency. On Monday November 24th at 8:30 I'll report to work as a clerk at CRTC (Canadian Radio and Television Commision) The contract is certain until Janurary 30th with a possible extension. So today was a successful first day, started of shaky but it was great. About 1:15 we had a fire alarm, someone on the 6th floor burnt popcorn in a major way in the microwave – the 6th floor was sent home because of the heavy smell of smoke. (I was on the 3rd). Having sent notice to my temp agency and the signed contract in my bag I can proudly announce that on April 1st I become an official Public Servant doing my current job at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission at a PM-03 level salary.
