Sunday, March 29, 2015. Photo trip to the North Shore, March 27th-29th. My friends John and Jeanne take the most amazing photos. And they’ve given me tons of tips on taking photos (and buying gear). Despite 10 years of hanging out with them, I still have tons to learn. After seeing the photos I took on our trip together to Yellowstone (posted here. John and I headed out first thing Friday morning. We met up with the other club members at Stony Point. Mussel found on the beach. Next stop Gooseberry Falls.

Sunday, March 1, 2015. Castle Danger with parents Saturday / Sunday 2/28/15-3/15. Mom and dad rented a cabin up on the north shore for the weekend and invited Scott and I along. It was a great weekend to be up north! Sunny weather, cold and windy but not ridiculous, and great driving conditions. We arrived before 11am on Saturday. First we went to an SNA on the shore that Scott and I hadn’t been to before (but of course Mom and Dad had). Big ice chunks out on the lake. Something slid down here.

Sunday, June 14, 2015. June 11-14th: It’s really summer. I was able to drop the last 3 days of what would have been a usual 12-day work stretch. And lucky I could! While I don’t have many photos from the trip, I do have plenty of bug bites. After that I did some Hotwheels photography (it was raining). Then Mike came over and we all went out to lunch. Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Lake Maria solo trip Feb 25th 2015. Having a lot of weekdays off makes it easy to get a quick overnight to Lake Maria. This year’s trip was cold again, but still about 10-20 degrees warmer than last year’s trip. And this time the cabin was already warm when I arrived. Putting more logs on. While waiting the 30-seconds for each photo exposure, I would put my ear on the ice to hear all the noises it makes while shifting. Orion and the moon. Clementine's in the morning.

Mad about Madeline

Saturday, July 9, 2011. Madeline turned three this past week. Three years of more love and joy than I can put into words. She is such a bright, beautiful, silly, spunky, sweet, loving, large person in that little three year old body. I really adore her. She is very interested in animals, from kittens, to elephants, to hyenas. For the past several months, she has claimed that pigs are her favorite, because they are pink. But she also clarifies that she likes clean pigs, not dirty ones. :). My Man and Me.
