Thursday, July 22, 2010. Family Reunion in Gatlinburg! This past weekend was our first family vacation to Gatlinburg. This was the longest roadtrip we've taken with Leona and she did FANATASTIC (all caps is the most enthusiastic way I can describe it)! Friday, May 28, 2010. We had a fantastic day with all of our family for Mother's Day this year! I got to sleep in, Joe made me a tasty, hot breakfast, and I got a card from the lil' one. We got to spend some time with Joe's family at lunch (yum) and pizza with my family. We stayed busy, but got to spend the days was some really wonderful mothers. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Words Just Cannot Express! Leona has definately learned some new and interesting noises in the past couple weeks. My least favorite is the high pitched squelching/scream at the top of her lungs. We opted to paint our pumpkins this year, Chris had just come off a two week illness stent, Alison was coming off a very busy 2 week Fall Break, and Mommy- well, she was luckily to have survived it all! Trick or Treating got moved to Friday night due to terrible wind/rain on Halloween night. I'm very thankful b/c Friday was a great evening to be outside and the kids could really enjoy the evening. So we have tried very hard to give Alison one-on-one time and do special activities with her since Miss Ada has come along. Well Chris and Ali have talked for at least a year about having a fort overnighter in the living room. Well, the day finally came. Living room fort-check, blankets and pillow-check, popcorn and a movie-check, making a little girl as happy as can be-check! Climbing the web- she made it to the top this year!

We had (thankfully) had our project completed prior to Ada's birth but Mommy was very sad she didn't get to go to the fair and see Alison's presentation. We started out the month with Breakfast with Santa at Alison's school. It is a great event sponsored by the PTO. Alison got to put in her request for the American Girl spa chair.
