The Ochs Family: Hammy
http://jncttochs.blogspot.com/2009/05/hammy.html
Thursday, May 7, 2009. Cora has decided that she loves the camera. She puts on a production whenever I turn it on. I just wanted to get some pics in her cute outfit the other day, but these are what she gave me. Such a ham! I couldn't believe how big she looks when I uploaded them to my computer.not a little bambino anymore. Oh.please disregard the giant bruise on her forehead - she had a collision with the cocktail table a few days ago. She is SOOOO cute! May 11, 2009 at 6:30 PM. May 12, 2009 at 2:54 PM.

The Ochs Family: April 2009
http://jncttochs.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. This is how I get to start my day :) Cora. Her new chair. She comes downstairs every morning, and piles her babies, moo cow and bunny in the chair with her to watch a few minutes of sprout while mommy makes her coffee. I am constantly amazed at how fast she is turning into a "big" girl, as the baby traits fade away. Seriously, I know I am her mom, but how could you resist this face :). Thursday, April 23, 2009. Happy Birthday Cora Bean! I know, I am way behind! Wednesday, April 15...

The Ochs Family: A lost battle
http://jncttochs.blogspot.com/2010/02/lost-battle.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. Cora is the queen of fighting her naps. Really, I think she would be completely thrilled with the option to never take naps or go to bed at night. Today she fought her nap with all her might, so I brought her downstairs and finished making my cookies. I was in the kitchen for 10 minutes when I decided to check on her. This is what I found :). Cast Sugar: French Bread
http://castsugar.blogspot.com/2008/02/french-bread.html
8220;The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you've got to have a 'What the hell? This one's for my dad. Suddenly my dad said, “Julia Child died! Ethnic foods and fancy meringue and yeast breads from scratch? No, oh no no no. Too intimidating. I'd screw it up, I just knew it. So I left them alone. And she trained at the Cordon Bleu! She brought French cooking to the masses! Get over it, move on, and try again. What a great philosophy on cooking, such a remarkable woman. It was actual...

Cast Sugar: Tart Lime Bars
http://castsugar.blogspot.com/2009/06/tart-lime-bars.html
This one is on honor of the Hubs, whose insatiable lime addiction overtook me during this pregnancy thing. Along with key lime pie, this was one of the rare recipes that was able to tame my cravings. At least for a little while. Originally an Ina Garten recipe, Deb upped the salt and concentrated the filling, making for a more even crust:filling ratio. Of course, on top of this I wanted a much more tart filling, so I changed the flavor to lime (yummy! Adapted from Smitten Kitchen. 1/2 c granulated sugar.

So have you read this yet? Yeah, it was insanely awesome.). Oh, and easy. Did I mention the easy? They totally are. So give them a shot. 1/8 tsp. salt.
