We were a little concerned that not being part of a wider event would negatively impact on our fundraising efforts on the day however, our fears were unfounded and we had our most successful street collection ever collecting 758.04! Sing For Water North. So how much have we raised? SfWN in the news. The very first Sing for Water North took place as part of the Manchester Day celebrations on 19th June 2011. We were back for a second year and in 2013. For the third time. In 2014 we had a break and instead of organising a mass sing arranged a Big Busk on World Water Day in March. In 2015. Sing For Water North. So how much have we raised? SfWN in the news. In 2013 we had our biggest and most successful year yet. We raised over 8,000 which increased the cumulative total raised since 2011 to over 20,000. This is enough to give over 1330 people clean water and sanitation for life! Sing For Water North. So how much have we raised? SfWN in the news. In 2012 we increased the total raised to over 11,000 which is enough to give over 730 people clean water and sanitation for life! Once again we used the Great Hall in Manchester Town Hall as a rehearsal space:. One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly when we sang for a newly-wed couple who emerged from their wedding ceremony in the Town Hall during our sound check! We sang ‘Love Flows’ – very apt! Manchester's newest community choir. Who runs Off the Wall? Off the Wall is a community choir, run by its members. We have a Choir Organising Group (COG) and there is a representative for each section (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) who meet occasionally to make decisions so that the rest of us can spend as much time as possible singing! What sort of music does Off the Wall sing? Most of our songs are in 3 or 4 part harmony but range from simple rounds through folk, world music and occasionally even pop!

With the Sing for Wishes event, people vote for their favorite local participant by donating in his/her name to Make-A-Wish Illinois. The three participants who receive the most donations get the opportunity to perform a song on stage with the band. To vote, click the "Vote for the 2015 Singer" tab above. The McLean Area Regional Council of Make-A-Wish Illinois will be hosting the 8th annual exciting fundraising event on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Gill St. Sports Bar and Restaurant from 6-9 pm.
